Have you tried using wood pellets instead of clay litter? Total game changer...
- There's wood pellets in there now :) Big fan of wood pellets since 2020!
  
  Do you have a good solution for the smell? I recently switched to wood pellets and I swear I can't enter the room if my cat has recently used the box.
- FWIW corn litter is also a decent option IMO. I imagine it’s kind of between the better-absorbing clay and the more natural wood chips
