This is really cool for blogs, especially with for having comments without relying on a 3rd party company that collects cookies and requires a central account

- Hatsu is "suitable" for Static Sites, but Hatsu itself is not static.

This sire talks like there are alternatives, and there's one mentioned there. Are there other services that do this?
- Yes, Bridgy and Bridgy Fed both can do similar functionality, but Hatsu is the only one that is easily self-hosted and doesn't require microformats / webmention.
