last I checked democrats continued exact same policy under Biden
The trend to shutting out China from the west started with Obama's "Pivot to Asia." At this point the only point of contention between US ruling elites is whether China or Russia is the primary threat.
I'm sure changing the policy with a GOP majority congress, one seat democratic majority with 3 independents in the senate, and a pandemic made that a really easy policy to change after 4 years of antagonism and a new war. The senile old man has a lot on his plate.
Except dems have had the house and the senate at the start of Biden admin.
