I have no idea what this is about, but after reading a bunch of the comments, I'm really excited about it! Now I know how dogs feel when they don't understand anything, but their people are all excited, so they're excited too.
- Sync for Reddit was a very popular 3rd party client for Reddit, as it had a lot of great features and an amazing design.
  Now that 3rd party apps are gone, the dev is making a Lemmy version, and everybody is hyped up for when it comes out.

Niiiice can't wait. When is it expected to release? Even beta or whatever.
- Last eta he gave was 6 weeks and that was a week or two ago.

Sync was a godsend for Reddit, used it daily and honestly can't wait to give the Lemmy flavour a try!
Using Connect at the moment and it's far from bad to be fair
- That's where I'm making my temporary home too. But we all know it's over once sync is out.

This is the experience I've been missing on lemmy. It's so much more refined look than a lot of the "reddit+" feeling apps I've been using.

Looks awesome, I wish he developed for iOS also. Loved Sync in my Android days.

  Memmy is very good, I’ve been using it as my main. Thunder also looks promising, testing that out now. Wefwef is nice but has no compact view so I haven’t used it much. It’s impressive how well it works for being a web app, but I need a compact view to actually use it.

- There has been a test flight version of Sync for Reddit for a while. I still have it on my account, but not sure how updated it really is vs Android.
  So maybe iOS eventually does get Sync for Lemmy as well

Yea I've been trying a few apps but nothing hits like Sync did. Definitely day 1 buy

The bar for Lemmy apps is going to be raised significantly higher once this releases. What we have currently is ok, but there UI/UX of Sync is so much better.

Will this be available for Android?
- It'll only be available for Android. Sync for Reddit was specifically designed around Android UI elements, and this new version for Lemmy follows the same principles.
- I assume Android as the original was Android first and foremost I believe

- I think that's just the date the version was made? v23.07.14-15:22 -> 7/14/23 at 3:22pm. It probably is built off the old app though

- Not just similar, it IS the Sync for Reddit with the Reddit part gutted off. Looking at the version number in the screenshot, the last version of Sync for Reddit was also v23. Which means it's going to be perfect.
  
  Fyi, LJ likes using date versioning, so v23 just means the version was made in 2023.
