For those that don't know, do NOT flush again until the water level in the bowl is back to normal. You will flood the bathroom.
If the water level won't go back down you'll have to use a plunger or toilet auger to clear the blockage. While gross that is better than cleaning it off the bathroom floor.
I've never had a toilet choke up, and have neither heard of any such stories in my vicinity. Is this a US thing similar to the cardboard walls stuff?
