World wind report out now - China's wind capacity now more than the US, EU and UK combined. Meanwhile, the US installed less than 1/2 of what it did 2 years ago, and lowest level since 2014.
I always got to keep in mind that China has four and a quarter times as many people as the US. This still blows them out of the water. It ain't even fucking close.
I'm not near my sources right now, But I also try to keep in mind that China consistently beats its deadlines and the United States consistently misses them when it comes to, well, anything really, but specifically climate change for sure.
China is using so much energy and still growing, that they're not gonna be carbon neutral for a while still, but at this rate they're gonna blow the pants off of the United States. I bet these numbers are in the report, but unfortunately I don't have time to skim 168 pages.
