Armor should direct the blade away from your neck at all times
8 2 ReplyOnly if you leave your arms down, if you raise them it would keep your neck protected.

2 0 ReplyYeah, they both stand out, which stops the sword from sliding off, and they are even arched, which can lead the sword closer to the neck.

They look useful for jousting. May even be historical but I'm not an expert on those.
