they thrive under human supervision
they are not wild, they are feral
they live longer and healthier
Maybe I'm weird for applying human morals to animals, but to me it's a better existence to die younger but free, than "thrive" in caged "supervision".
"It is difficult for me to imagine what "personal liberty" is enjoyed by an unemployed pigeon, who goes about hungry, and cannot find employment."
