Combining games?
Combining games?
I was just wondering, is it possible for me (or someone else nice enough to help me) to combine two different Pixel Dungeon mods (ARranged and Experienced) so that I can have the best of both worlds? These two are hands down my favorite games out of the different variations of PD, the grind sandbox of Experienced, with the complex items added from ARranged.
I have exactly 0 experience in coding, but if someone had a step by step I'd gladly learn to fish rather just being given the fish if you've heard that saying before.
Discord has a getting started with mod development, beyond that you will have to learn to code as of course any necessary item interactions would have to be coded in. Beyond that, it should mostly be a matter of starting with one, then carefully transplanting code from the other for the features you want

Git allows to merge, but that will likely lead to merge conflicts that need manual fixing. That can break parts and will throw off balance
This can't be done without any coding experience, each "mod" as you call them is it's own software
