Google and Harvard unveil most detailed ever map of human brain
Working from a sliver of tissue no bigger than a grain of rice, researchers have built an astoundingly complex map of the human brain. The tiny fragment contains 57,000 cells, 230 millimeters of blood vessels and 150 million synapses.

The entire world would have to work together to map the brain at this rate.
3 1 ReplyWe kinda did that for the genome
3 1 ReplyThis is so much more complex than the HGP
3 0 ReplyVery true. Even though we have more advanced data tools and everything, it would still be orders of magnitude more difficult
3 0 ReplyGenome is too.
2 1 ReplyThe genome is so much more complicated than... itself?
1 0 ReplyNo, genetic. There's epigenetics and looks like the histone has an influence too. HGP was only the start.

Which was so much more complex than mapping the GI track, but people were robbing graves for centuries trying to work that one out.
