Apologies if it’s already been addressed, but are there plans to release Eternity on the official F-droid repo? Would be great to see it there! And of course thanks to the dev and all the people who’ve put work into the app!
F-droid is inconvenient with apps with such fast development, because it always lags a few days. Also since they sign their binaries with their own keys, you can't reinstall over them with other versions.
As far as I know, I believe the official F droid repo compiles everything they host themselves from the source code to check for malware, and then they sign it with their own keys rather than the developers keys. On Izzy, I believe it is just whatever the developer compiled and is signed by the developers keys. I could be mistaken though, I personally do not use F droid myself because I view the fact that EVERYTHING hosted on their repo is signed by one key and you are putting massive trust into them never getting compromised, which is bad practice. I use Obtainium instead and pull the apk files directly from the developers github/gitlab/codeberg/etc page.
Releases for the main F-Droid repo and Play Store are planned but more complicated. The official F-Droid repo also has a slower update cycle than Izzy's so you probably want to actually stick with that for now!
