- I get it. Heathcliff is just The Far Side if Gary Larson suffered a stroke that caused both an obsession with an orange cat and the removal of any sense of humor whatsoever.

  OP apparently. This dumb "Heathcliff without Heathcliff" joke got tired a year ago yet they're still doing it. Obviously they actually derive some pleasure from looking upon these comics.

  Puppet Heathcliff is a basically an alter ego for Heathcliff. There are only about 10 appearances. And they are usually Iggy telling someone what the puppet is communicating. I know this doesn't really help explain anything that might be the joke here. But at least you have some context.
