Quite the walk you had in the early season!
This little spot, where I camped in a free cabin by the river, all alone for a week, was bristling with fungi. I think i identified at least 12 species in the first 15 minutes of walking.
It could be a Vermilion Waxcap (Hygrocybe miniata)
Wow! Beautiful. Never seen a red mushroom before!
