That's not true! That's not true at all!
I had a colleague proofread it and my PI also read it once... probably.
My boss read the first chapter I turned in, decided I know what I am doing, gave me some basic feedback, and has completely checked out since then lol.
You had colleagues with the time to proofread yours?! Lucky...

Thank god. I cannot verify the quality of that trash based on my mental state by the time it was over. I hope no one ever reads mine.
Or at least someday I hope to overcome the PTSD and be able to read it again. In an ideal world I'd like to release an updated version/errata.
