Willow and Mercedes are having a pretty awesome, hard hitting match. I knew this was going to be great, but I don't think I thought it would be great in quite this way.
Finally got to watch the show... I'll just ramble out my thoughts on it... whether anybody cares or not, it helps me to pay attention and not get distracted into my phone for these long PPV's to jot down my thoughts.
There was no way Will was losing and I know Roderick Strong is really good, but this might be my favorite Roddy match ever.
MJF out there looking like HHH without the HGH on the return, lol.
Trios titles, eh, it was a match. I don't care for large multi-person tag matches... Anarchy in the Arena gets a pass because it wasn't a tag match it was a brawl.
Toni's gonna Toni, and I love her so much, I can't wait for the day Mariah has enough and they go at it, because that's the only time I think I'll believe she's going to lose the title. It was also a big reminder how great Deeb can be, they put on a damn good match.
OC coming out to "Jane" is so much better as a theme song than the Pixies song he was using.
Oh yay, my roll came up snake eyes... I really can't stress just how much I don't like the FTW stuff. Dice in the black bag was interesting for Vegas, but it sure didn't save me from this match, that I felt was predictable going in. Why in the hell are we putting Shibata of all people with Hook and Jericho? Also, Big Bill looked like he came really close to getting that tables legs in his back.
Mox won, shocking... /s
I wish that Copeland or Gangrel could have used the Brood theme, I also wish Christian was in a position to join in with that stuff, a full Brood reunion would have been cool. I want them to put Malakai on strong win streak and get him into position to finally take one of these damn titles.
I wasn't into Mercedes and Willow, I felt Willow losing was telegraphed so hard it wasn't funny, got injured in a match with Willow and loses a title, comes back against Willow and takes her title... I was way more into Willow's story with Statlander and Stokely after the match. Not to take away from Mercedes, it's got to be hard to be out for a year and get to come back as good as ever.
Prince Nana is a treasure, I loved his Warriors Bottle entrance. I never thought Christian was winning, but they did great, but ones a legend and the other is the present.
Anarchy in the Arena... as said before, I'm not really into multi-tag style matches, but brawl for all multi-person matches, it was pretty good. Holy shit at that fire stunt, stupid as fuck, but man was it cool.
I felt like the show started to drag at points, I get wanting to put on a hell of a show, but not every match needs 20+ minutes, that trios, Mox, and the Copeland match felt overly long to me, but that's just my opinion.
AEW puts on some good shows, but man I hope that whatever is going on with WBD leads to being on MAX because I can't afford PPV's every other month...
