Anime Questions, Recommendations, and Discussion Thread

Hi once again fellow anime enthusiasts. I am here once again to provide a thread for you to dump all your hot and cold anime takes into. A thread for you to query the great minds that peruse this community. A thread in which you can argue your strongly held belief about whether honorifics should be included in subs or not. That's right, it is the general discussion thread once again.

Like always, remember to tag your spoilers! If you don't then your favorite show will have its finale broken into as many parts as the AoT finale.

So, this past week saw the defederation of ani.social from lemmy.ml. If you aren't familiar with ani.social, it was an anime-focused instance and the host of the episode discussion bot that used to make the episode discussion posts here. I don't want to rehash things that have already been said in other threads other than to bring it to people's attention that may have missed the original posts about it.
This past week has been very busy with irl work for me so I have only really been able to keep up with Eminence in Shadow and Frieren. If you aren't watching Frieren at this point, I am not sure what I can say to convince you, but the animation of the most recent episode was absolutely amazing and completely elevated the manga to new heights I could not have imagined.
@ram@lemmy.ca if you would be so kind as to do the pin/unpin shuffle once again.

I think Apothecary diaries had small story that wasn't in the manga. (I think I have my new waifu in Maomao)(I should touch grass)
I have cought up with spy x family and new exiting arc is beginning so that's nice. I can't wait for frieren to have a showdown with a demon, in manga it looked super cool.
- Undead unluck was a surprise for me. I have written it off due to undead powers but unluck powers had hooked me up.

What's the spoiler syntax again?

Has anyone seen Pluto? Is it good? I saw it being recommended in the scifi community.
- I am sure others will likely chime in as I have not seen it, but looking at ratings on MAL and AniList, it has been extremely well received. Hope you enjoy!
- Saw the first few episodes. It's intriguing and worth a watch.

Any update on the discussion bot?
- The lemmy.ml admins don't seem to intend on re-federating with ani.social any time soon. I don't know what @chaorace@lemmy.sdf.org (the bot maintainer) intends to do, but I moved my episode discussion contributions over to the home community for the bot here. Note that because of the defederation, you won't be able to use your lemmy.ml account, but will have to use an account either on ani.social or another lemmy instance that does federate with ani.social.
  I have opinions on how this has been handled on the part of the ml admins and they aren't positive, but I don't want to fill up this thread with them.
  
  Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !episode_discussion@ani.social
