Alonso: Newey not enough to fix Aston Martin’s F1 problems
  • Worrying because Alonso has supposedly been chasing Newey/Newey influenced cars for quite some time. Apparently even wanted to get him to Ferrari before his own patience ran out.

I wonder if Nando is rebelling against Daddy Stroll… which will be an interesting thing to witness.

  • End of the World
  • Hokhai, so. Here is the Earth…

Fkn iconic. I still sometimes catch myself dropping phrases from this video mid conversation with people who may not necessarily understand the reference. One of my fondest memories in life is watching this for the first time, sitting with my little brother. We both cracked it so hard. Must have hit repeat a few times.

  • Major IT outage affecting banks, airlines, media outlets across the world
  • Everyone is assuming it’s some intern pushing a release out accidentally or a lack of QA but Microsoft also pushed out July security updates that have been causing bsods on the 9th(?). These aren’t optional either.

What’s the likelihood that the CS file was tested on devices that hadn’t got the latest windows security update and it was an unholy union of both those things that’s caused this meltdown. The timelines do potentially line up when you consider your average agile delivery cadence.

  • ...dope, said Toad
  • Is this from somewhere? Otherwise I commend you for still having memories from a time where you were a heavy smoker. My short term memory is shot to shit most days and I’m currently dealing with this dilemma along with my SO

Edit: thanks for the answers. Looks like I missed out on some quality children’s stories in my childhood 🥲

  • Lauren Boebert is laughed at on the House floor as she’s fact-checked by EPA head
  • Who wrote that article? The amount of typos and misspellings is insane.

I’m not a fan or sympathiser for Boebert but nothing in the way the article is written seems to imply impartial journalism. We are so fucked.

  • TIL: Helmut Marko holds the joint record for most laps completed (397) within the 24 hours of Le Mans, set all the way back in 1971. Only matched once since; in 2010

Marko and van Lennep won by three laps from Attwood and Müller who had eased off their charge back up the field. The two Porsches were the first cars to cover over 5000 km in the race, easily beating that milestone. Putting it in context, it was equivalent to crossing the Atlantic, from Le Mans to Maine in 24 hours.
