I'm a huge fan of the series so I'm glad to see if is getting some good reviews. I just wish the combat was more like Origins. Most seem to love it though.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella gets a 62% pay rise for this fiscal year
>Microsoft laid off more than 2,500 people working in its games division this year, but the trillion dollar company still scrounged together enough spare change under the couch to give its CEO an even bigger bonus.
>In its most recent regulatory filing from last week, Microsoft revealed that CEO Satya Nadella's total compensation for the 2024 fiscal year amounted to $79.1 million. Most of that money comes from performance-based stock awards, however, as the executive's base salary stayed the same, sitting at $2.5 million, and his cash bonus came to a still-whopping $5.2 million.
>What's more surprising, at least in these gamified lands, is that Nadella's compensation is actually 62% higher than last year's $48.5 million package. For a company that laid off 1,900 Xbox and Activision Blizzard employees, then shut down a handful of beloved, seemingly successful game studios without any clear reason, and then laid off a further 650 workers in its games division - you'd be forgiven for thinking Microsoft was implementing cost-cutting measures because it absolutely needed to.
>Where's all this extra money coming from then? Well, Microsoft just reached an eye-watering market cap of $3 trillion for the first time this year, mainly due to its investments in AI and how it continues to dominate workplace software. The people love Excel, I guess. Of course, Nadella's bonus wouldn't have funded those laid off employee's salaries for too long, and some layoffs are to be expected after an acquisition as beefy as the Activision Blizzard deal, but it's still frustrating that Microsoft won't use some of its new AI money for good - to keep people employed and create interesting art, say.

MechWarrior 5: Clans launches day one on Xbox Game Pass, its developer has confirmed.
Dreamhaven, the game company founded by former Blizzard president Mike Morhaime, has revealed its first official game. Called Sunderfolk, it's billed as a co-op turn-based tactical RPG, and is under development by Secret Door for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Switch.
>Secret Door, one of the two game developers under the umbrella of Dreamhaven, has revealed its first game — a new four-player co-op adventure called Sunderfolk.
>Billed as a tactical turn-based RPG, Sunderfolk brings players together to complete missions on a top-down map. Secret Door calls it a "streamlined alternative to the traditional tabletop gaming experience" in its official release, saying that it requires "no elaborate setup, rulebooks, or materials," but will include six distinct heroes, deck building, and other familiar RPG elements.
>To further increase accessibility, Sunderfolk will support phones or tablets to control the onscreen action, calling it as a "new spin on the classic game night experience."
>“We have a bunch of dedicated board and tabletop game fanatics on the team at Secret Door — getting together for game night has been a regular highlight for many of us going back years and years,” said studio head Chris Sigaty.
>“As developers we also like to look at what inspires us and think about how to make those types of experiences easier to get into, so that more people can enjoy them as much as we do. With Sunderfolk, we’re excited to offer players a game that’s easy to pick up and play, while still challenging to master, and we can’t wait to share it with the world."
>We have a bunch of dedicated board and tabletop game fanatics on the team at Secret Door — getting together for game night has been a regular highlight for many of us going back years and years Like many others at Dreamhaven, Sigaty is a former Blizzard producer, having worked on StarCraft II and Warcraft III among other games. Dreamhaven was formed in 2020 by former Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime, with the company encompassing two studios in Secret Door and Moonshot. Last month, Dreamhaven announced that it was publishing Lynked: Banner of the Spark. In an interview with IGN published last month, Morhaime talked about the evolution of Dreamhaven while explaining why he thinks the game industry will continue to grow.
>"The team at Secret Door, and really all of us at Dreamhaven, are all about bringing players together around fun experiences,” Morhaime said in the release announcing Sunderfolk. “Sunderfolk is a beautiful game, it’s full of personality and charm, and it also creates epic moments where everyone is engaging directly with each other to work out strategies or celebrate victories. There’s nothing quite like it, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what players think.”
>Sunderfolk is under development PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. It's slated to release in 2025.
This looks kinda cool. Might actually be something I end up playing when the family comes over. Will save me from having to play monopoly for the millionth time.
I agree with both points. Also I'd like to add fuck 3rd person in most multiplayer games, corner peek is shit!
More details will be shared "when we're ready"
>Today, exactly 10 years after the release of the original, creative director Al Hope responds to fans' "distress calls," giving us that all-important announcement that work on a follow-up is underway. "On the 10th anniversary, it seems only fitting to let you know that we have heard your distress calls loud and clear," Hope begins.
>"Today, I'm delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development. We look forward to sharing more details with you when we're ready."
>No indication has been given as to when we can expect the sequel to be released, or what platforms it'll land on, but it sounds like we might have quite a wait on our hands. Even so, it's certainly exciting news for horror fans, especially with Halloween approaching.
>Hope says "it's been nothing short of incredible" to see fans' passion for Alien: Isolation over the years, and "see it reach so many players around the world." He says that there was one "guiding principle" for that initial release, which saw the devs focus on creating "a truly authentic experience that went back to the roots of the Alien franchise," bringing a new story with all the classic atmosphere fans of the original movie know and love to the table.
>With a very positive Metascore of 79, it's safe to say that the team at Creative Assembly pulled that off – we gave it four and a half stars out of five in our Alien: Isolation review – which bodes well for whatever the team has cooking for this new follow-up.
Damn, I forgot about that. You win this one.
Yeah, but never on foot before. Much different.
Well poop. As long as I got you here Is the MSI Vigor GK50 Elite keyboard compatible?
Some might even say it is the main reason! Aha
I'm excited to give this one a try.
Didn't even know about this game. Looks interesting though.
I couldn't have put it better myself. This is exactly how I feel. It's sad to see happening. Hopefully they turn it around in a big way.
It's disappointing to say the least. I get not day one. But not even first party that have been out a long while??
Instructions unclear, drove an Uber on the beach for a year. Still layed off.
Fantastic news! Can't wait to try it out.
I could also be completely wrong on the PS part. I have no insider information lol.
I'm pretty sure both mid-gen updates this cycle are mostly cosmetic thing's. We aren't getting like an Xbox One to One X kinda upgrade and I'm 90% sure PS isn't either.
Yeah, I guess I would be pretty pissed too if I was losing a lot of money. Still, should have private messaged their socials or Execs before going full public. I'm just glad they were able to sort it out. Hopefully the next update is that the game is on it's way!
UPDATE 4/9/2024: Microsoft has reportedly apologised to Jyamma Games following claims from the Enotria: The Last Song developer it was being ignored by the Xbox maker.
Earlier this week, Jyamma Games announced it had indefinitely delayed the Xbox release of Enotria: The Last Song, claiming Microsoft had "decided to ignore us" as it attempted to navigate certification on the platform.
Microsoft has now reportedly reached out to the developer and apologised. "They contacted us and said sorry about the situation, we're trying to solve everything as soon as possible," Jyamma Games' CEO Jacky Greco wrote on Discord this morning. "We will tell more to community asap."
Some good update news. I do feel sorry for the developer and how they've been treated by Microsoft. It is shit to be put on hold for 2 months. That said,
They obviously don't care about you
Because Microsoft is bad at responding to him sounds very whiney and petty to me.
Thanks for the offer but I was able to make an AI make a decent one!
