You can fit two cars there
  • A neighbor runs his own plumbing company. He's got an early 2000s Dodge and formerly an early 2000s Ford.

His main complaint about modern trucks, after the price, is the bed being too high for him to easily load and unload equipment.

  • Meta is tagging real photos as 'Made with AI,' say photographers
  • Again, point being "Do it yourself or get the tag." I don't care if Gen Fill is just Content Aware Fill with less steps. It's an AI tool.

I know plenty of professional photographers who would just use the shot as is. Not everything needs to be studio perfect every time, just take pictures of reality. Angle, composition, lighting, subject - those all matter so much more than the one out of place freckle you need the AI button to remove.

If I use a flash and then tell everyone "I didn't use flash, just momentary lighting!" not only am I stupid, I used a flash. Gen Fill is AI. Use the clone and stamp tool or accept your badge of shame.

  • Meta is tagging real photos as 'Made with AI,' say photographers
  • Nah, fuck 'em. Either "Take better photos" or "Made with AI". If you don't have the dedication to sit there until the shot is perfect, why not just generate the whole thing?

Someone else has been to the pyramids anyway.

  • Meta is tagging real photos as 'Made with AI,' say photographers
  • Generative Fill isn't a filter, the posters complaining about it were using AI tools to remove cars and other things from their photos and then getting butthurt when Adobe tattled on them in the meta data.

It wasn't a case of tweaking the LUTs or changing exposure, they manipulated the photos using an AI tool and got upset when they got tagged out for it.

  • I’ve got a fossil fuel non-proliferation treaty baby, and I’ll write your name: Just Stop Oil paint private jets hours after Taylor Swift’s lands
  • Well, if there's massive ecological collapse and mass extinction events abound, there's honestly no way to know if we'll survive or not. To claim we'll survive when climatic changes are currently killing off everything is the opinion of someone who uses the Bible as evidence of human supremacy.

Worst case, the centipedes will probably take over again... If they make it too.

  • xkcd #2948: Electric vs Gas
  • Specs absolutely matter. Incline of your lawn, outdoor outlet location, type of grass you have growing. I'd never recommend a plug in electric lawn mower to someone who needs to mow six acres of hills.

That said, electric mowers by and large are better for most consumers.

  • Big, tough guy.
  • I'm about 75% for violence because I'm a lunatic who would always knock down the 300s in any weather but I'm 25% against it because my dumb ass misses the 50s sometimes and I know Urban ops are in that range.

Also because war is absolute hell on the best days and something I hope I never need to show any proficiency in again.

  • TIL Hunter S. Thomson got an early honorable discharge from the air force in part because, "Sometimes his rebel and superior attitude seems to rub off on other airmen staff members."
  • Honestly, you gotta be a real piece of shit to get a DD normally, think rape or murder... Well, enough rape and murder they don't cover it up.

    That or smoke some weed.

Either way, "less than honorable" is the 'easiest' way to get rid of a complete fuck up.

The real monsters have an honorable though.

  • $843 million lawsuit against Valve already has its own website: "The Steam Claim" accuses the biggest store in PC gaming of "overcharging" players
  • In a world where Sony and Embracer are running around saying we need to be paying $70+ for games (while tipping the devs and buying micro transactions like a good like wallet)... You're mad at the storefront?

Yeah, go into Walmart and demand they take less of a cut so... The publisher can take more from the devs?

Gabe is rich because he spearheaded a good service (which I'll admit I thought was a scam back when I was forced to make an account way back when I had dial up) but... 30% is standard. For the price of games? Be mad at Embracer. Be mad at EA. You're free to not like or use Steam but they let the publishers set the price. Their cut is a drop in the bucket. The whole 'cut' debate is just EGS propaganda.

  • 58 percent in new poll say they’re living paycheck to paycheck
  • I asked my buddy at work how he was doing and he said "I need to get this money, ya know? It's tight." Meanwhile, he's paying weekly for what I pay monthly for a car. My phones are always bought secondhand and for the most part I only blow money on videogames.

You can be "doing good" financially because you make enough money to afford the lifestyle you want while "living paycheck to paycheck" because you spend 100% on your lifestyle.
