It would be a living nightmare
  • I feel like if that world were the existence, that our daily lives and technology would have advanced with it where we would have Pokemon detecting radar, anti Pokemon shields, etc to protect our cities and such. Now if a shit ton of Pokemon just dumped randomly into this world then yes, that would be a big fuckin problem. Animal Control would become a seven digit job lmfao. Oh god PETA would be insufferable...

  • Never forget what they took from us...
  • Have to agree. I've played through a couple of times myself and a couple times with friends. Always fun. If you've never touched mods on it I recommend taking a look. Will further diversify your playing time.

  • He'll be living with this for the rest of his life
  • This is exactly what I'm thinking. This dude can snark all he wants but most drivers aren't honking unless you're sitting at a green light, more than likely because you're not paying attention.

  • Texas asks people to avoid using their cars
  • I have a friend that works in Texas and his IT department literally forced all their employees who have been WFH since COVID to start coming into the office 5 days a week again. So literally the opposite of what this article is stating. Companies need to be held liable for this shit, especially if they have infrastructure in place to easily adopt WFH.

  • Yet another cult classic is being remastered by Nightdive, this time, it's The Thing
  • This definitely had more of an 'Action Shooter' feel and not 'Suspense Horror' like the movie, but was still a solid game. I'd like if someone else built a similar themed game but more toward horror. Dead Space obviously knocks it out of the park here, just saying another similar, more horror based would be awesome.

  • What are you playing this week? June 03 2024 Edition
  • Been playing the newest season of Diablo 4. I was definitely one of the people that picked up the game, played the first season, and dropped it with no intention of going back. Waaaay too much bullshittery going on with the loot system at that time. Well, a friend convinced me they fixed it with the most recent season and he was 100 percent correct. I've been having fun and have been reminded of how much of a blast a looter can actually be. I suggest anyone that was in a similar boat as me to at least give it a try.

That aside I've been playing Forza Horizon 4 as there's always more to do and sometimes it's a nice Zen game to just tweak a car and cruise around for points.

Honorable mention to Grounded which I just finished with friends. It's a long ass game and a huge map. Has some bugs (pun intended) but nothing game breaking. We didn't play the recently released 'Fully Yolked' edition so can't speak to that.

Oh also Valheim Ashland's is cool but god damn is it unforgiving. Definitely going to be a struggle solo and would suggest playing with at least a few people.

  • Is somebody ever completely demotivated with everything? How do you deal with it?
  • If walking is easier than cutting screen time maybe try a walking pad or under desk treadmill. May need a monitor arm if you can afford it, but it'll help to be more active. At the end of the day these are just suggestions. Burn out is real and can easily be an explanation as well. Happened to me when I was WFH and basically at the computer for 12+ hours a day.

  • Privacy tool
  • All I do is play games and browse the web for the most part. Am I going to suffer compatibility issues if I switch to Linux? Also is Steam OS a solid choice for a Linux gaming distro?

  • Is somebody ever completely demotivated with everything? How do you deal with it?
  • Light depression can be caused by a lot of things, and doesn't mean you have clinical depression. Things that work for me:

    1. Be more active. No, I dont mean you have to go kill yourself working out. Just go for a short walk.
    2. Disconnect from media and technology. If you use social media, get away from it for 24 hours. People don't talk about it enough but it's literally engineered to give you constant dopamine so you get addicted to it. Overall if you're in front of a computer all day, just get away from it and go make a trip. Even just to get groceries.
    3. Sleep. The one everyone loves making memes about. Truthfully though if your sleep schedule is super fucked, it can be a big problem causer. Not sure that's a word. You get me though.

Good luck friend. I've been there several times. Nothing sucks more than not knowing what to do to make yourself happy.

  • "What do you mean genocide is always wrong!?"
  • Dude thank you so much for taking the time out of your evening to type this up and look it up. I've always been a supporter of giving people a chance to explain themselves and now I have a solid explanation for the use of the hammer and sickle! Also +1 on losing chains. Hoping to see more movement like we have over the last couple years. Power to the people!

  • Dog attack: 6-week-old Ezra Mansoor dies after Husky attacks sleeping newborn
  • I have both and agree with your statement. I had a paragraph typed up but it's a lot to edit and it's late. Call me lazy. The tl;dr version is supporting evidence for the dogs portion, and outlines that people need to have access to abortion, and/or screening on if they're responsible enough to have kids. And now it's a paragraph again. Ugh.
