added collecting cans for deposit to my walks. Gives me stuff to look at instead of playing with my phone, some interesting challenges with the leftover snow and muddy slopes, and sometimes I'll pick up more trash to throw out too :) been thinking of ordering a foldable grabber tool for getting the stuff stuck in bushes lol
On the one hand, DNS was being needlessly accusatory and the logic of 'you don't understand how predators work so you must be one' is silly. On the other hand, I get why they're being so caustic because YES CP is ABSOLUTELY used exactly how they describe. The idea is that by getting the child used to sexual activity, they'll get used to thinking about sexual activity and won't be as freaked by inappropriate propositions, perhaps even believing they're the initiator instead of being manipulated and taken advantage of, and then they won't report the predator to authorities. Not to mention some of the predators who actually feel child attraction (as opposed to the more than 50% who are just rapists of opportunity) use that manufactured consent to self-delude themselves into thinking 'well they're enjoying it and they said yes so I'm not REALLY doing anything wrong'.
Part 4 on this article interviewing someone who was trying to research pedos on the dark web, for one example: "In other words, there are child molestation crusaders out there, and Pam ran into a lot of this on the Deep Web. Below is one response to a 7axxn post from a guy, bemoaning his inability to be anything but a "leech" (a person who consumes the content but never submits any) because his family situation made it impossible to actively share child pornography. The other members suggested he could aid "the cause" by helping to "enlighten & educate" the children in his life on the "true philosophies of love"" https://www.cracked.com/personal-experiences-1760-5-things-i-learned-infiltrating-deep-web-child-molesters.html
tbf if the hens aren't producing for commercial purposes, they could be vaccinated, like they're thinking of doing in america.
Shout-out to Gamers Nexus for making a written site for all their content https://gamersnexus.net/ tho i recognize that's not very helpful for avoiding American lol
Yeah they pulled out of QC so if I wasn't so close to Ontario they'd be completely useless for me in canada too. Not that I haven't avoided them for big purchases like computer stuff already, gonna have to look what general marketplaces we have otherwise lol
Which is a thing that's happened on Steam twice this month thanks to update loopholes and some outbound link fuckery. Also anti-cheat is kernel level, which is why you can't play a lot of multiplayer games on Linux, but you don't see a lot of PC games forgoing it because the alternative is being unplayable. Turns out some idiot Sony music exec (which is literally a separate company from Sony interactive) was ahead of the curve on the new normal, much as I also hate it lol
For you guys. Amazon canada will still be infested with them, for instance. Also that's assuming the dropshippers don't just reroute their stuff to whoever has the lowest tariffs before delivering it here, like how lindt is moving all it's delivery back into Europe so that they can go around the US to deliver to places like Canada.
It used to say gender expression and identity. If it doesn't, that's a deliberate decision that could cause enforcement calls like 'well that's not your REAL gender so this isn't harassment'.
Well, between their incredibly abusive behaviour towards fans making content on YouTube even though that's free advertising, the mess with the smash tournaments and them breaking agreements to side with some new band of assholes -
their previous efforts to destroy companies by patent trolling and their current efforts to undo Palworld that have pretty much only been prevented by them teaming up with Sony -
and their very heavy-handed protectionist approach to ROM preservation even though they keep taking away people's access to their older catalogue, I certainly wouldn't consider them ABOVE board.
Before sony's completely ridiculous 2024 I would have firmly called them below-board, but enshittification really hit hard, jeez. (Dashes were for breathing pauses cus that was getting a little long. I was also going to mention an issue with them being a lot less transparent with whether or not they'd ethically sourced their rare earth metals vs the other big two, but I don't remember quite when that was, just that it was discussed during the switch era).
Edit: tbc I still upvoted cus physical games ARE still important, but I forgot to mention that they don't let you downpatch digital games so speed running, or even just wanting to play TotK with the dupe glitch, is forced to sometimes be way more expensive thanks to REQUIRING physical AND having to play offline forever cus I think it tries to force patches?
Especially since she would have had to be involved in the rerecording that doesn't say 'vote'. Though of course suddenly losing a million dollars in legal fees might have been motivational...
I mean they might need to log in to reconfigure their settings, not just turn them on and off. It's the meme made after the fact that assumes he doesn't have a switch lol
Fentanyl is a part of the category 'all drugs'. Some places like Uruguay have literally ZERO penalties for drug use recreationally, and they haven't defined limits on the amount for personal use on anything but Marijuana (40g) so the judge would have to decide if the woman was carrying a huge amount or if there was a possibility it was personal use. https://www.tni.org/en/publication/about-drug-law-reform-in-uruguay
What part of literally all drugs did you not get from the list at the bottom mentioning places like Portugal and Croatia?
And? Plenty of countries where that's not an issue, or at worse she'd get either a fine or medical counseling on addiction for a couple days https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/countries-that-have-decriminalized-drugs.html
Donations for server costs. Apparently each user costs a little over 1 dollar a year, hosting-wise. Reminds me of how one site I use for checking stuff in pokemon sleep, how-many-more.com, said in a reddit post from the owner that they don't even take donations because the cost of running it is absolutely miniscule and that you should absolutely question people who want upkeep money for largely text-based stuff like that.
The story is also much simpler than KCD so you don’t have to pay attention. Characters are also quite one dimensional, it’s easy to follow, much like Avowed.
There was nothing factual about bringing the character simplicity into this because you made it sound like the reason they failed to find an objective was because they weren't reading and enjoying the story, when what they explained perfectly well was that they picked one dialogue option, not realising it was going to be mutually exclusive with the other because both options just looked like informational inquiries, and the other option with relevant info was gone forever. Simple characters has nothing to do with that, and made it look VERY much like you were saying they weren't up to the task of enjoying a game with interesting ones.
How often do they use mice and keyboards? I get what people who don't use shortcuts look like to you all, but I know how many times I've had to help someone older who works with computers, including just straight up DOS-looking internal text prompt systems fine, remember how to highlight text on a phone to copy, or even be able to look up their apps without clicking on the homescreen ones.
Some people just really only get good with one tool at a time and don't have the energy for more, and for the younger average person that tool's gonna be the one they grew up with, the phone.
Related to that, it boggles the mind that Americans need a PRESCRIPTION for 2.1% i can just go buy that off the shelf up here.
Also there's a weird rectangle in the guy's hands that doesn't match the scene (paper? dollar bill?), the rolled up thing in the ledft corner is clearly a bastardization of a soda bottle and a rolled-up newspaper, and there's some weird white chunk on the middle girl's forehead that feels like it's supposed to be a physical colouring error.
Nylon? I would think this would be a 'print the moulds we use to pour in silicone' situation, if we're going for usability. https://formlabs.com/blog/casting-silicone-guide/ On an engineering note I'm also sure I've seen this exact thing before, but I wonder what would improve it. Self-heating? DIY solution could be a hidden pocket for reusable handwarmers lol
