As a firefox user... This.
Calls work now, but dont you dare share a screen in the call.
... But meetings work fine, even if you share a screen. Thanks microsoft.
Thanks, i will look into these videos!
As for the cardboard, this is why cardboard used for pizza is not allowed to be put in cardboard bin because of the fats. But overal, thats not that much cardboard wasted ( at least in my household ).
Mind sharing a source and saying what country youre talking about?
Recycling is most certainly not a lie. Yes, some countries dont give a fuck and send it all to a landfill, but others dont.
There is also the fact that there are more and more battery processing plants too that separate the materials for reuse.
Plastics can be remelted and reused after they are grinded and separated. And cardboard, afaik, can just be reused. The ink on the cardboard is just merged into it. There is a reason recycled cardboard has a distinct colour and texture
No, you dont. Its both plastic so both go in plastics :')
Which is why a new law was passed to make the top not easily removable so both are disposed together and (depending on the design) reused
Youre forgetting 4chan and south park exposing them
I said the same to a coworker this week. If i were to be part or manage an illegal ring like csam, id make my own protocol/app that just uses encryption. Youre already doing illegal shit, go one further so you dont get caught
Haha, nice one.
I was an ace shot... Eventually.
( at least i didnt stand still and was hard to hit, so its something xD )
I will say the comparability is amazing and a really good thing! The type f plugs are amazing. Nothing bad about more ground connections!
Just wished the type f sockets had a solid piece of metal, instead of the springs.
Then they'd be perfect! :D
Perl? Nah, in this country its vb6, C#, java, gupta/centura and javascript :')

Writing raw byte binaries ftw!
(Jokes aside, all programming languages have their good and bad things. Some just have more bad than good. And i say that as a C/C#/typescript/asm developer :p
Modern php is not bad actually. Still kinda slow and dangerous, but A LOT better than it used to be :')
That said, i wouldnt build a web service with php still lol
Thats a fair argument that people have had issues with actually! Sometimes that is annoying but ive never had to much issues with it tbh
As a life long user of type e, can i ask what you hated about it? Really curious tbh
What makes it better over a type e? Personally i prefer type e, i dont trust the springs of type f :')
It all depends on your needs tbh. I personally think the framework mobo is perfect for a powerful 24/7 server. Smb, router, media center, ...
I personally dont need something like that and just have an sbc running pihole and smb 24/7 ( +/- 8w@230v power usage )
Still overkill and uses way to much power. Now, as a server that just happens to also be a retroconsole... :')
I agree. Pi5 apparently uses 5v@5A max, which is outside the usbc-pd specs. Not sure why they didnt go for usbc-9v in and use onboard components to convert the power to something lower for cpu ( which i assume it already does from 5v )
Tbh, i cant make an opinion without technical details :')
They probably just waited for the contracts to end hehe :')
What is the power reason if i may ask?
So, i was a liftoff user because the app was the app that looked the most like rif when i migrated away from reddit in july last year, but hasnt had updates since. With the lemmy.world update from a few hours ago its officially dead though which makes me sad as the others arent like it all. ANYWAY, now using voyager and trying to make it look to my tastes. So far so good, but seem to be missing user profile pictures/icons and some general flair/info i used to see in liftoff. Is this a missing feature in voyager? Do i enable it somewhere?
Is the Fairphone 5 just a repeat of a proven formula or a real improvement compared to its predecessors?
![Fairphone 5: Keeping it 10/10? | iFixit News](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/96ef3a71-0d9c-4d4c-954b-12dfd1fab8c8.jpeg?format=webp&thumbnail=256)
While they were happy with what the fairphone 4 brought to the table, they seem to like what was changed for the fairphone 5. What are you guys' opinions on this? A welcome change? would you get one if your phone died within the next year?
