Italien schickt wieder Strafzettel an deutsche Touristen
  • Oh, TIL. Not that I have seen a lot of German traffic violations, every time I see a D licence plate they are driving nicely in the right lane with their bicycles strapped to the back of the car, not bothering anyone.

  • Yeah one month is the standard practice here too, as a negotiated shortening of the three month notice. It’s good to have the other two months paid out, that’s all I’m saying.

  • If you’re hopping within the country, usually the local culture is adapted. I never had issues with it, employers expect you to have a resignation period.

Plus as I was saying companies don’t really like to have a working quitter, so they will usually negotiate for that time to be shortened. Maybe one month so you can transfer your knowledge to somebody else, then you’re out - with the three months money, naturally.

  • Yes of course it does, but standardised employment contract are rather common in Europe - at least in the few countries I worked in, YMMV. There are exceptions of course, but I imagine for Americans the idea of state laws mandating your entitlement to three months of salaries plus severance money must sound outlandish.

  • IDK my man, having three months of forewarning for resignation sounds pretty cool to me. I don’t really see it as a downside. Especially in Italian law, where you can avoid making things awkward by agreeing with your employer to make the resignation time as short as you both want, as long as those three months are paid out. Blessed.

  • I'm sure the women will be so very sad
  • Only western women though, they are the degenerate ones that deserve being made obsolete. Nice Slavs and Asian women are obedient and keen to home slavery, so they won’t be impacted by this competition. Thank god.

  • As a non native English speaker, that is the grammar mistake that most baffles me in natives. Like, how does anybody think that “of” is the right word there, how does it make sense in their heads.

True 🦴🍎☕️ material, if it weren’t that absurdly common.

  • Dear iPhone users:
  • Yes but 99.9% of users don’t care about any of that, that’s what others were saying in this conversation.

Just to bring my personal pov: I’m a tech guy and I couldn’t care less about any of those features. My phone is an appliance like my dishwasher, i only need it to do well the few things it does for me and the iPhone does them incredibly well. Productivity work and fun is done on real computers. I don’t care if android phones can purr or do somersaults.

If you like to do complicated stuff on your phone then those things matter to you and you will deem iOS inferior, and that’s fine. But realise you are planets away from the average user.
