iPhone 14 Pro users complain of major drops in battery health and capacity after less than a year
  • Also 12 pro from November 2020, currently at 88% after around 615 cycles. Although saw rapid drop off initially, has been stuck at around 88% for around a year.

My wife’s regular iPhone 12 also from November 2020, is at 84% after 800 cycles.

  • Is lemmy growth coming to a halt?

Lemmy world was growing at a decent pace leading up to July 1st, then had a big influx following the API deadline. However the last week in particular has seen a decline.

Engagement still appears to be the same, although a little lower than the start of the month. A few of the other instances i have been checking follow a similar pattern.

Do you think we will continue growing at a steady pace, or do we need another big trigger to get users to migrate? For Mastodon, it seems there's a big trigger every other week to drive users away from Twitter, but with Reddit, the revolt seems to have quietened down considerably.

do you also spend a lot less time on Lemmy compared to Reddit?
  • I am starting to. Still browse Reddit occasionally for the communities that are not in here yet.

Reddit as a whole seems a lot less populated. Example, the r/android sub is nowhere near as active as it used to be.

  • Best Lemmy client for Android?
  • I have the iOS version, you only need to sign in on one instance, but you can also view other instances without logging in, which i think is a good idea. For example you can add beehaw, which is not viewable on lemmy.world

  • Memmy for iOS has hit the App Store
  • I had the same problem, as i signed in using my email address instead of my username. The app has no option to sign out either. You can edit your account, but only the password, not the username.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it, this time using my username instead of email, now fixed.
