A chord keyboard uses combinations of keys, like chords on a piano. You have fewer keys so you can type with one hand. I'm not 100% serious about it, learning curve would be horrendous. But it would be interesting to try. I used blackberry for a long time and I hate screen keyboards.
And yes, looks like I found one while looking for examples :) It's $175 on ebay, bit expensive.
Yeah, that's a lot of work with tools I have no idea with. Definitely a fun project but I don't have the time.
Here's what I want: tiny, one handed bluetooth chord keyboard.
For typing on my phone. Can someone make one?
There are only two reasons to use something other than xscreensaver:
- You need other input methods
- You don't care about security
Sad reality is that:
- no matter how much informed people hate her, the base is still going vote for her because of name recognition and party support
- they don't care were the country is heading. they will still get their checks from donors, they will still make money on insider trading
- all the terrible things Trump does just means more campaign contributions for the Dems, for all they care Trump winning was good for business
- Bernie tried to take over the party and it failed, people can try again but it will be extremely difficult to do
Yeah, I don't think you can argue with gestapo. Police is not going to stop gestapo either.
I lost my hope when it comes to Linux phones. They will never get the app support Android has so you will have to run some kind of Android emulator anyway. If you think GraphaneOS has app and notification issues imagine what issues will this cause. I thought that Pinephone will at least solve hardware issues (as in that we will see a lot of clones and it will be easy to get some Linux phone hardware) but even this didn't happen. So we still have no hardware nor software. Sadly Android is the only way to go. When google closes the source code we'll be fucked.
Yeah, ideally you would just use a dumb phone or some Linux phone.
Worst thing you can do is to use stock Android with Google account connected to everything (gmail, contacts, gpay, maps, calendar, play store).
Work profile is a great compromise, a lot better then using an iPhone.
Wake me up when you find something people will not abuse and get addicted to.
People get addicted to paid apps and services and then complain they can't escape the ecosystem... I never paid for apps through Google, never used Google account on a phone. Programming learning: hackerank, codewars and dozens more available for free on the web. Video editing: Kino, Openshot and banch more available for free on desktop AI chat: Claude subscription Art generator: OpenAI on web Audio editing: Audacity, LMMS and a lot more
Oh, but those are not as convenient as your paid Android apps? Ok, call it by it's name than: you're paying with your privacy for convenience. If convenience is more important to you that's fine, just don't complain about lack of privacy. You can't have both.
Not sure what are you talking about. I'm using GraphaneOS as a daily driver and my banking apps work perfectly. The only 'banking' app that didn't work is Revolut but I easily found an alternative and switched. The apps for two actual banks I use work without issues. Notifications work fine, no issues at all. I don't have separate user profile, I have a work profile created with Shelter app. Everything just works. Work profile apps can't access contacts or files from main profile. Google services are only available in work profile.
Both Waltz and Goldberg work for FDD. My theory: Waltz is paid by FDD, wanted to do them a favor and keep them in the loop on Houti attacks so he adds their Iran expert to the chat. Well, tried to add...
https://www.fdd.org/team/richard-goldberg/ https://en.everybodywiki.com/Richard_Goldberg_(Illinois)
Richard Goldberg: aide to US National Security Advisor in previous Trump administration, expert on Iran, wrote press release announcing Waltz's nomination.
Both Goldberg and Waltz work at FDD: https://www.fdd.org/team/michael-g-waltz/
Clearly Waltz was trying to add him to the chat instead of Jeffrey Goldberg, right?
Showing ID when you vote is an requirement in every European country since forever. There's no slippery slope here. Ability to identify yourself is a pretty basic thing in a civilized country. Where I live proof of residence allows you to vote in local elections. National elections require citizenship. National ID proves you're a citizen. It's really simple.
It's just something I found, no idea how plausible it is. It does look like a pretty big coincidence to me but no one is reporting on that.
Is it a coincidence that the person who wrote press release announcing Mike Waltz’s nomination is called Richard Goldberg, that he worked in previous Trump’s administration and is an expert on Iran/Houti? Did Waltz add Jeffrey Goldberg totally by accident or did he simply confuse the Goldbergs?

The problem here really is that there's no standard national ID system in US, not that someone is asking for a proof of citizenship in order to vote.
The only person in real danger here is the journalist.
