Potentially, the labor and skill involved in the production. While speculation does play a part, so does the rarity, difficulty of production, & skill needed in the creation of the art. You may argue whether that justifies the price, but at least there is labor and material evidence, while stocks and property don't necessarily need any real evidence of value to be valued, especially in our current economic climate.

From what I gather, there is a real fear in develper spaces that executives will take the wrong lessons from BG3. They will want the same scope, choice, narrative, & mechanics but through crunch, shutting down smaller projects, & homogenized visual & narrative focus. IE all the shiny bits without the time, work culture, & creativity that came with creating BE3. It isn't developers just being pissy this is their way of trying to stop their idiot boss from ruining their current project or making massive projects without enough time or staff.

I agree, but given that police have tried to charge Cop City protesters with terrorism we need to be really careful and scrutinize any new laws designed to stop these groups and how it may be intentionally or unintentionally harmful to littigamate activism and protest.
