Quake, here, I think
I couldn't locate this specific one on Amazon or Paramount, but fortunately i had a local copy :D
They were too far out for their tractor beam, because they missed due to the jump inaccuracy. The Breen dropped out of warp much closer to it, and were able to snag it with theirs.
Hey, birthday twin!!!
perhaps some aspect of her job requires it?
I'd guess Zora didn't want to run the DOTs to clean things up anymore
that... looks like it was a 480p source, playing on a 720 display.
Yeah, it might be just slightly higher quality than the broadcasts originally were, but not much.
On rewatch, I wonder if he was on the way to suggesting someone like Book when he was interrupted
Agree with this, it seemed like he was using Book for context, not for a real suggestion. Saru respects what Booker has done for everyone, but I don't think he's a real big fan of the guy, and certainly doesn't think he should be the XO of a Federation ship.
I could be wrong, though
I'm told that's Bigfoot with a hat on.
loss prevention officer = someone that works in the security department. what's the question?
I think a large number of people have gone back to the places they came from... :| :| :|
I'm not sure if there is or not, but it seems like there should be a way to link a post that links to it on whatever instance of Lemmy we're on instead of hard linking to the main... hmmm
wouldn't the Romulans entering the neutral zone also be an act of war, though? that's kinda the point of a neutral zone -- neither side can enter.
They were looking for clues to the attacks on the ships, playing the part of party girls to get in places they probably normally wouldn't be able to. They went full into it when they got near T'Lyn
So... what's up with the big bad ship of destruction? Any thoughts?
In this one, it looked an awful lot like they got dusted, to me.
Collectively, each of the races in Star Trek have their own thing that they do. Individually, some lean more into it than others, but that's the way they go, pretty much.
" … delinquents, pirates, slave traders." (DSC s1e15, although the same perception about Orions is held throughout Star Trek).
It seems that Orion culture internally looks down on those who want to be in the sciences, but it's Tendi's grandmother that shows the galaxy that they are not all just pirates. Some several years after DSC S1, in SNW S2.
.... hello?

I own 2 98's and a 97, the first 98 is now a parts car. Here's my most recent acquisition, I've had it about a year now.
Four hundred and fifty-five miles of Interstate 80 run through Nebraska. But one 24-mile stretch has become nationally known – or notorious – for a type of traffic stop that sends millions to a single Nebraska county and its sheriff’s department.

The former president shouted 'Food for everyone!' in a busy South Florida restaurant. But local media said he left without picking up the tab.
... to the surprise of absolutely no one.

Another case of "Make Attorneys Get Attorneys"
Yes, you read that wrong :-)
Normally if I'm out, I'm either at one of the casinos, or a rock/metal/alt show at a bar, but every now and then, such as when wanting a 'classy' spot to take a date :-) i'd like to find some old school class, with some horns. Trumpets, saxes, trombones, and so on.
Someone today suggested Cliff Bell's, downtown, to me. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
A federal judge on Tuesday said E. Jean Carroll, the New York writer who last month won a $5 million jury verdict against Donald Trump for sexual abuse and defamation, can pursue a related $10 million defamation case against the former U.S. president.

... i caught them finding an open box for the first time that I'm aware of ... so adorable
Sox found it first, sniffed around, then jumped in, and Nox came running like OMG WHAT THE HELL IS THAT IT ATE SOX, and then he realized it was ok, and he forced his way in, and she had to go up.
The sub says post pictures, but I'm hoping discussion is Ok too :)
Situation: Have had a cat (Barney) for about 10 years. We brought a second cat into the house that we rescued off the street (Lou) back in 2019, but Lou was not well, and passed away in 2020. Barney mostly ignored Lou, but would occasionally get kind of close to him. If Lou approached Barney, Barney would just walk away and watch him from a distance.
Had to rescue a pair of young cats (about a year old when we got them fixed in January, the vet said), Nox and Sox. They've been in the house since late March or early April.
Barney constantly hisses at them if he sees them, runs far, far away. This attracts the interest of the youngsters, who come running to him to check him out, and this always starts a fight. When the fight begins, Barney runs away as fast as possible, screaming and ejecting as much fur as possible (i didn't know cats could do that, but apparently they can... )
How do I help them to co-exist in the same house? We kept them apart for almost 3 months, and tried to introduce Barney slowly to them once they were comfortable with the environment, but he wants absolutely nothing to do with them so long as they exist.
I don't know what to do :(
