Don't forget the whole discussion started about a movement to change the law. That's what SKG is, thats what Videogames Europe is scared of.

We have a chance to change the law here.

The first amendment concerns might be the original legal reason for not requiring ID verification, but the real problem with this in my eyes is privacy. Of course, online privacy is simply not popular at all in the US, UK, EU etc at all these days.

I hope porn sites publish the names of judges who view their content.

Man, I guess I can imagine someone liking "I FEEL ASLEEP!!!" Metal Gear back when there was nothing better for the western market, but I still think that game sucked ass. The original MSX2 version of the game holds up and is fun today, but if the NES port was the "real" game I don't think it would have got a sequel. It might have been fascinating (if you didn't know about the REAL one) but I genuinely don't think it was fun.

Is this something that just happened? The article I linked says she admits she stabbed him, but pleads not guilty to the charge of murder, I believe on the grounds of self defense. Considering New York's typical (extremely hostile) stance on self defense pleas I'd be surprised if the judge agrees though.

According to the charges, Hodge was at the store’s sandwich counter when Cruz cut in line, leading a dispute between the pair. After a witness separated them, Cruz allegedly went into their bag while Hodge’s back was turned, retrieved a knife and threatened him with it.

Prosecutors said Cruz then allegedly threw a plastic bottle at Hodge before lunging at him, stabbing him multiple times in the chest, neck, and arms. After a struggle in which Hodge attempted to wrestle the weapon away from her, he collapsed. A witness reported hearing Cruz remark: “He deserved it.”

Hodges was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“This alleged broad-daylight stabbing shook the neighborhood, including the deli workers and customers who witnessed the attack,” said District Attorney Bragg. “My thoughts are with those grieving the loss of Ray Hodge, a postal worker and beloved father of two.”

After her arrest, Cruz reportedly admitted to police that she stabbed Hodge with a knife she carried for “protection.” Cruz also allegedly referred to Hodge as a racial slur.

Not sounding good.

“He rolls up his sleeves, and then he hits my client, and every time he approaches her, she backs up. And he approaches her again, she backs up until she’s all the way at the refrigerator and then when he’s still berating her and calling her a f**got and a tranny, she spat at him,” Schuman said. “You can see on the video that she’s saying to him, leave me alone. But he doesn’t leave her alone. He attacks her again.”

So there is an alleged video with contradicts a lot of what the witnesses say. I'd be cautious of defending this one. If it turns out that the lawyer is just exaggerating an unclear video, youre probably going to get tricked into defending an awful person. Again.

What do you think you're saying here? The article cites Harvard's own words and the people who caught this woman lying red handed. The less "scholarly" people are objectively correct here, and the more "scholarly" people lied to push their politics.

That really is the final question that determines whether this can be marketable. I assume they haven't published numbers or even attempted to measure it because that's part of the long, expensive development cycle. They have a lot of catching up just to meet the effort already put into optimizing 4-stroke emissions, and I'm sure once it has a catalytic converter, lower compression, and an intake designed to idle efficiently then the weight and power numbers will be less impressive (think what people can do NOW with race/offroad/custom gas or diesel engines that don't have to meet emissions).

Though as he said in the video, conceptually it should have all the features necessary to be clean (as much as a 4-stroke), since it doesn't burn lubricating oil or permit fuel-air mixture to be lost. D4S covers a lot of novel combustion engines with a good mix of enthusiasm and skepticism, so if he's excited then I'm definitely still excited.

I'd youre serious about the multiplayer, you really have to commit to using in-game chats only, which is kind of silly in the era of Discord. A big part of the game was that you needed to capture communication towers and stay in range of them for radio contact (literally, to enable voice chat). When Xbox Live added Party Chat, it made it trivial to cheat this. Or more like, it was extra work to exit the party chat you were probably in just to play the game as intended.

What was he supposed to say?

I can guarantee you'd find some African Americans who would say, notwithstanding some social issues, that things were better before manufacturing moved out of the US EG in Detroit.
