Technically, it's easier, because there were 0 in the past. :P But yes, the variety of choice is dazzling!

Late to this, but you can't call tactiles "brown" anymore; ever since Cherry's patent expired some 10 years ago the market has exploded. Right now I'm typing on a franken tester board with some 30 tactiles of different make and model, and I barely have scratched 20% of the tactile switches available on the market, by my estimation.

In addition to a scale, a vacuum jar. Storing your coffee right helps. With the right container, even ground coffee will last a month.

Just to add, having the timer on the scale is very handy. I got a cheap Chinese-made one for like US$2.

I've missed this thread for a few weeks already (as in, I didn't see it). Completed Disco Elysium twice since then, amazing game! Very sad that there's not going to be a sequel; the world is fascinating,, as is the style of gameplay.

1. You should look at sample images online, prefably with semi-consistent subjects. Some people don't like Sony's JPEGs, for example.
2. This is something you have to find out for yourself; eg I cannot stand using Canon cameras in general, Sonys have their annoyances. Love Nikon, Fujifilm and Panasonics. If there's a store or a rental service I suggest you use those to spend some time with the camera.
3. Despite what some might say, all cameras can do decent in low-light. The ones with bigger sensors just do better than decent. You're off to a good start with your choice of lens too, picking a versatile bright zoom.
4. Cameras can last a long-time if they're not abused (too much). There are still plastic fantastics from the film era that are still working (which have more moving parts and thus more places that can fail).

What are the keyboards she is using now? Did she express any preferences about them? What typewriter is she using?

Budget and location might make things a little tight, HMRC really loves collecting their due.

Well, I saw this coming and got a new 2TB SSD before 11.11 even. Though now thinking if I should have gotten 4TB instead. xD

Kinda, but nowadays it's all filtered in so even in a mass market supermarket you can get some decent ingredients. Like anything else not common to the local palate, you have to pay. Kale is ridiculously expensive, for example.

If you're worried about authenticity, probably compare notes with native cooks, but more importantly, check to see if the ingredients are correct. Very easy to get bastardised ingredients; as an example, living in an Asian country, I used to have a hell of a time getting the right herbs and vegetables for doing certain Western dishes with, and very common to get some pre-packaged "mix" of herbs instead.

It's just trends/fashion, I don't get why algorithms are to blame? I read the whole long ass article but I don't really find a compelling argument. It's just how trends work. The algorithms of now speed it up, but it's no different from anything in this connected day and age; I used to only hear of new PC announcements in a month (when the next issue of PC Magazine hit my mail box), now I can get it within the minute of announcement.

This is why I don't like the Fediverse as much. Can you believe that loon got so many upvotes? Describes the average mentality around these parts, what a turn off.

I'm sure there'll only be people who read the headlines, so here's what's going on:

Overall shipments decreased by 40 million, but there were two companies who made gains within the top 5: Apple, who shipped 8 million units more, and Transsion, who shipped 22 million units more. Samsung dropped 40 million units, similar to the overall shipments. Looks like Transsion made the most of it during this dip, taking away marketshare from other Android phone makers.

Yea, the moment hotswap and a degree of customisability is called for, a lot of the mainstream "niceties" tend to be dropped.

Really love this community, so one-dimensional and not willing to accept alternate views, and can't wait to twist words in people's mouth to make themselves feel better intellectually superior.
