What is your point? You don't want to swear, but you don't not want to swear either? Maybe sort out your beliefs then.

If you don't want to swear, don't swear. Mildly censoring a swear word to "fck" doesn't accomplish anything. Everyone who reads it knows exactly what it says. And if you go far enough to make it unrecognizable, like "!@#", now you're just pretending to swear, but for what purpose? Couldn't you accomplish your goals by rephrasing to avoid a swear word entirely? (Assuming your goal is to avoid swear words, of course. If the goal is to sound like a cartoon character, consider taking up a funny catch phrase.)

Edit: Oh, and this is missing the original point entirely: the original post said "fkn". That is their freedom of speech. Someone else decided to censor it before sharing. That is not covered under their freedom of speech (well, technically it is, but it's also a clear case of censorship.) If the original post didn't contain any censorable words, that is completely up to the author. But if you share a post and felt the need to inject your personal belief that "fkn" is a no-no word? Nobody asked.

With a 24h watch, you line up the hour hand with the sun. Because the sun does a full circle in 24h and the hour hand does the same, lining them up will always make 24 point north (on the northern hemisphere).

A compass is still the better option, because the magnetic field also points north in the southern hemisphere and doesn't have to be recalibrated when you move too far east or west.

You paid $35 for the watch, the delivery or both? Because I saw those Vostok watches with proper 24h faces, which is exactly what I'm looking for, but they're $140. I guess that's not super expensive for a watch, but I can get a much nicer 12h watch for that money.

I've looked for them, but they're very hard to find and expensive too. You can't just slap a 24h face on a 12h mechanism, so it's all custom and produced in low volumes. (I think it's technically possible to convert a 12h period into 24h by switching out a single gear, but that might ruin your minute hand too? I'm no clock maker.)

How do you find north on a 12h face that wouldn't work with a 24h face? Because the method I know, requires correcting for the 12h circle.

Sometimes it's more about the texture than the flavour and potatoes with cream sounds delicious in that regard.

When my colleagues are being bigots, I try to tell them some personal experience, because that's what they respond best to. Sadly, they often conclude that I'm one of the good ones and their bigotry is generally valid. I just hope that with enough examples of "good ones" in their mind, they'll remember one without me having to push back.

The problem in that case is SEO. What you need is a table of cooking temps or just a single number, but what ranks high is a web page that mentions "cooking", "chicken" and "temperature" a million times.
