Switch 2 would arrive in the second half of 2024 and development kits are already out
  • Since the steam deck 2 will make use of the amazing gains, I wonder if people will really start considering the Deck as an alternative to Switch 2. There's already a TON of overlap in the indy game scene. SO many of those release on both Steam and Switch.

Obviously the hardcore Nintendo IP fans will stick with Switch 2, but outside of that ... ???

The Deck has really been a game changer!

  • Baldur’s Gate 3 Developer Larian Will ‘Definitely’ Make a Divinity: Original Sin Sequel, but Not Before a Well-Earned Break
  • Larian truly is one of the modern greats, so I'm happy for them to take however long they need for a break :) Come back refreshed and make DOS3, and take as long as they need! Sooooo love their games.

  • Time to ditch Twitter/X, what are you guys switching to?
  • That's not really true. When it first came out, before the ads, before the algorithm, when they embraced 3rd party apps with an open api, it was really great. It was full of techy personalities and interesting folks. Hashtags were fun to follow, live events were amazing in real time, so much more. That was before it got inundated with politics and celebrities though. I think that honeymoon phase only lasted a tiny while, then it all went downhill into the outrage machine pretty quickly. But for a quick minute there, it was glorious.

  • What films that flopped when they came out but you saw in the theater and loved, that are now universally acclaimed or cult classics?
  • I didn't know it was a flop at release. It's in my top 5 of all time, so I'm super biased. Absolute legend of a film.

  • Apple's first foldable laptop just leaked and you won't believe the source
  • What's the use case for this? Why would I want to replace the keyboard/trackpad with a screen? What will I display on that bottom part that's more useful than having physical keys?

  • It'll be hilarious in several years time when they've completely abandoned the entire VR multiverse concept, when they have to explain to people what their company name means.

  • Corsair acquires Drop as it intends to expand further into mechanical keyboard space
  • This is exactly what I was going to say. The MT3 design is the only thing I care about from that site that's long passed it prime. I have a Susuwatari as well as a Godspeed set and they are by far my all time favs. I haven't even looked to buy a new set of caps in years now they are so amazing.

Please Corsair, DON'T SCREW WITH MT3 YOU BASTARDS.

  • Halo Infinite lost 98% of its players on Steam since release
  • Yes agreed. I wonder where the original team behind H2, H3 are nowadays? It’d be cool if there was a site that tracked where talented devs are

  • What are your favorite "ugly" games?
  • does Doom count? Because my friends and I still play the game to this day, all the various community mods and maps.

  • What are your favorite "ugly" games?
  • I loved this at first but then the complexity of the various mechanics seemed to take a sharp rocket ship upwards through the roof. I got kind of lost and then tried to read the wiki guide and it was like a book, so that was that. I really wanted to like it though! Maybe I should give it another go.

  • Do you know what happened to it? Just curious.

  • With the way endgame aspects work, having more than 3 stash tabs is a requirement. Not sure how they didn't see this in testing.

  • Between this and Dredge, it has been a wonderful year for the Deck.

  • Funny you say that, it actually started AS a mobile game. Then they changed directions, but you're right you can still feel some of it still in there.

  • I think LW is better out of the box. It has both UBO and Containers built in. Which is just awesome. I still use FF as my daily just because I have customized it beyond belief, but if I were to start over again I think I'd start with LW.
