xkcd #2932: Driving PSA
  • This road design seems also be done by someone completely insane. Who thought it was a good idea to cross two lanes without any kind of traffic regulations.

Luckily no every country has insane roads like that.

  • Proton giving more to the free plans
  • Privacy is also practically not better than google, microsoft or apple unless you never send an e-mail to an adress from there. But since propably about 90% are hosted on either of them it does not really matter. Best to not use e-mails at all for any sensitive data about you.

  • The Pokémon Company Announces It Will ‘Investigate’ Palworld IP And Assets
  • You can't really argue that it is a pokemon game tho. The gameloop is a complete different one. The only thing they have in common are uninspired monster designs. And maybe the that you catch them with a ball.

Persona games have more in common with pokemon games than palworld does.

  • Calling out myself too, don't worry [ButtPoems]
  • True, Rarely anyone wantsnto actually know how you have been. Just a question to start a conversation like a greeting.

So I just default to "fine" or "it has to" (makes more sense in german).

  • Toyota has built an EV with a fake transmission, and we’ve driven it
  • The traditional reason for a manual was fuel and oil efficiency which was kinda miserable when automatic transmissions came up. However this reason has been long turned around where automatics are certainly more efficient.

Even in europe manual usage is dwindling.

  • How a Red-Haired Chatbot Became China’s New Favorite English Tutor
  • Stuff like that will probably never be the same as talking with an actual person since by design it can't comprehend its input or output.

However it will be close enough to be a learning experience. Learning a language in class has the same problem that it can't replace communicating with actual people other than the teacher.

  • Microsoft now pops up a poll asking why you'd want to use another browser when you download Chrome
  • You say that like it is any better.

A non-profit that owns a for-profit company is very well not realy non-profit. Just because all their profit is made by one of their subsidaries? And yet mozilla stand itself on some kind of moral highground.

  • Is it possible to train cats to group-walk with you like a pack of friendly wolves that consider you part of their kind/group?
  • One of our cats does the same. We go for a walk with our dogs and she just trails along like 3 meters behind. We didn't train her to do this. Just decided one day that she wanted to walk with us. Sometimes it is scary since walk a bit away from home and fear that she might not fibd back when she loses us. So we don't encourage it.

  • Microsoft now pops up a poll asking why you'd want to use another browser when you download Chrome
  • If a corporations earns halve a billion. Does it really need donations?

The whole concept of a parent company owning the foundation is fishy. Its just as strange that firefox seems to be like by privacy people when the owners are as instranparent as mozilla.

  • Microsoft now pops up a poll asking why you'd want to use another browser when you download Chrome
  • I really really want to believe in firefox but the corporations behind it are way too fishy.

The whole setup of mozilla foundation and mozilla coporation stinks. Mozilla asking for donations when the donation amount is barely 1 percent of their income.
