Siberia, 1953, Ilsa is the commandant of Gulag 14, where she tortures and kills Soviet political prisoners. Her reign of terror comes to an end when the prisoners rebel upon hearing the news of Josef Stalin's death.
Montreal, 1977. Andrei Chikorin, a former prisoner at Gulag 14, accompanies a Russian sports team as their coach. The players ask for a night off and Chikorin accompanies them to a brothel. Once there, he is shocked to find out that the brothel's madam is none other than Ilsa, who is now in the process of forcibly taking over the operations of the local Mafia.

Thou Shalt Not Kill.. Except (aka Striker's War) (1985)
An army unit on patrol in Vietnam is ambushed and most of the unit is killed. The survivors are given leave to return Stateside and see their families. They decide to visit one of their buddies who had been wounded in the ambush. When they arrive in his town, they run up against a killer cult led by a murderous psychopath.
It's a schlocky Vietnam-vets-vs-evil-hippies movie and Sam Raimi plays the evil hippie cult leader (in a hilariously over the top fashion). It can be found on ok dot ru. :)
Growing up, I used to frequent the local video rental store as well, so I know what it's like to be captivated by all the amazing artwork on the VHS boxes. I'm glad these posts manage to bring you back to that time and place.
