It's going to be interesting to see what DC projects exist in the coming years. Rushing out a project was exactly the strategy DC had been using previously. They were behind Marvel and were constantly playing catch up. Marvel built up and put out The Avengers. So DC had to make Justice League as fast as they could.
I think Gunn/Safran as head of DC Studios are willing to wait. I hope the people above them are willing to wait as well.
I agree if they try to put 2005 Constantine into the new DCU it wouldn't work. I do however think if you want to keep Keanu as Constantine, you can do that.
I mentioned a soft reboot as a reintroduction of the character. You have to introduce him as both the familiar character, but also have him do things and behave in a way that fits in the new universe.
Think of it like when Professor X shows up in Multiverse of Madness. That's a character we know. But also, he hangs out with these new people and they defeated Thanos. So he isn't really the character we know. He's Professor X, so we trust him. But he isn't our Professor X.
Of course this all assumes that you really want to keep Keanu as Constantine. I don't think that's a given. I think you're better off casting someone new and not linking him directly to the 2005 film.
I just don't think we'll ever get a sequel to the 2005 film. So if you want Keanu back, that's how I'd do it.
explicitly had required reading
I think Multiverse of Madness had more required reading. Wanda wants to save her kids and without WandaVision you're forced to ask, "What kids?"
For this film I think Kamala being "a big fan" is enough. We don't need to know how she got her powers for her to fit into this film.
For Monica it's a little more required, but they basically just speedrun and say "A magical witch gave me powers" and while that's an understatement you can just sort of accept that she has powers now.
It's similar to Kamala where we just accept that these two new main characters have powers, and that's ok since this is their big screen debut.
The Marvels immediately fell victim to false narratives and culture war nonsense
People with shitty opinions have shitty opinions. Surprise!
I'm not saying you have ignore the elephant in the room when covering the film but you don't need to keep bringing it up as though the people with shitty takes have valid criticism. They're not arguing in good faith.
Now, did the The Marvels have issues as a film? Yes.
The two biggest, barely mentioned in this article, were the shortened run time which led to a rushed storyline and the weak character development of the films primary villain.
The film skips the more interesting story of how Captain Marvel became viewed not as the savior of all worlds, but as the villain of the Kree.
We also have the resentment of Monica towards Captain Marvel. I think the film generally handled this well, but it was weird that these characters never spoke before the film. It would have been nice if they had an attempted but more strained relationship as this film starts.
And if course to contrast all this Kamala absolutely adores Captain Marvel. The "why" isn't really explained. Captain Marvel is mostly out in space, so what did she do to gain her appreciation? Even if we say that she saved the day in Endgame, Kamala would only have second had accounts of these events.
The film needed a bit more world building. It needed more time to tell it's story. Instead we got an extended cat montage. While memorable (ha) and funny, it doesn't add to the story.
But do I hate The Marvels? No. It's a disappointment. It should have been better.
I mean if the script isn't ready, don't make the film.
Constantine came out in 2005, if the sequel comes out in 2026 or 2030, who cares?
My only concern would be holding back the Constantine character from other stories. One of the bummers of the MCU is/was that certain characters were stuck "owned" by other companies. Spider-Man can't show up because Sony owns the rights. The X-Men aren't around because Fox is trying to make Dark Phoenix again.
I'd love to see Keanu as Constantine show up in the DCU proper. Give him a soft reboot and just fall into a scene while solving his own problems, or be the answer to "I know a guy" out of nowhere. Then he can have his own "Constantine: Blah blah blah" film that is a "sequel", but in the more wacky DCU vs the more grounded Constantine original film.
I'm gonna miss Roy. Correct!
I know I tried. Source here is Frinkiac which I think is from the DVD release? I pulled it up on Disney+, but it is also illegible. Of course as you noted it's probably 480p at best.
Looking around at other various newspapers and things from other episodes it's all just scribbles or lines.
I'm guessing this is the same, just "legal document" with no hidden jokes.
The Simpsons goes HD in season 20, but sadly Frinkiac doesn't go that high, so it's harder to try and find a hidden joke in later seasons.

Technically fully owned by Disney at this point.
That all being said it's hard to actually learn anything from this data. Any statement made has a lot of open questions.

Correct!
Excellent guess, but in this episode we explore the talents of a different Simpsons family member.
I do wonder where Twitch would appear on this chart. Is it wayyyyyy under? Or does it not count as "TV"?
I don't view YouTube as competing with Disney or Netflix. It does compete in a "only so much time in the day" sense, but then there are a lot of things to look at.

I've really enjoyed the Star Wars "Tales of the X" series as fun little lore dumps. I think "What If...?" gave us fun peeks at characters behind the scenes, even if in different contexts.
I'm excited to see what this gives us.
The Halloween episode is a good guess, however in this episode the TV is only love.
Also in the Sideshow Bob episode television stations are voluntarily turned off after the bomb threat.
does the average use have to worry about HTTPS though?
Yes, but arguably this will make it more clear when what they are doing is insecure.
As you mentioned the majority of sites use HTTPS, which is good. Most of the time users will never notice anything. But on occasion, when a site is insecure, they'll have a warning.
If every site were insecure, everyone would ignore the warning. If only a few rare sites are insecure, someone may notice.
