There is just no bottom to the ignorance and the danger people have put themselves and their loved ones in...
  • This is a funny take I haven’t heard. Maybe it’s a bit true.

People I talk to seem to have little understanding of Trump policies. Like it’s mostly projection.

One person I spoke to with a Trump pin said these two statements: “I don’t like where the country is heading everything is expensive. The government spends too much money”… “yeah we got to support Ukraine, Russia would not have invaded if Trump was president. Russia needs to loose and go home so we can end the war”

… like okay? And Trump will help any of this how, as a lap dog to Putin who blew up the budget and raised taxes on those making less than $500k?

These people vote for people who tell them what they want to hear and project the rest… you know morons.

  • Democrats Begged Team Kamala Harris Not to Campaign With Liz Cheney
  • It’s not about”progressives” it’s about the average Joe voter who (in some ways rightly) couldn’t see a difference enough to make voting (an unnecessarily difficult chore) worthwhile.

The second problem, is that there is no collective class consciousness. At best there is maybe a collective unconscious feeling. Progressives often ascribe a much greater awareness than is warranted to the proletariat. Ironically after likely doing no organizing other than debating each other in closed left wing YouTube and Reddit threads.

  • There is a fun Netflix documentary where a guy creates his own cult: Kumare.

In the end he feels bad for taking advantage of peoples’ trust particularly when vulnerable and has a semi-sincere apology for including them in his project.

So the first requirement is you need to be a bit of a sociopath or a true believer (aka a bit crazy)

  • Origin Story
  • I mean people don’t seriously acknowledge it but good on Sesame Street for semi real sticky representing a homeless bum on a kids show. Also Bert and Earnie, but most people give them credit for that one these days…

  • If Putin had been a good guy, what would have he done for Russia instead?
  • in addition to mineral deposits they also have natural gas and historically a good amount of people in the developed cities well trained in math, programming, and technical sciences.

They could have been an economic powerhouse in 21st century if they weren’t beholden to Putin and oligarchy.

  • oh no! think of the stock market!
  • Thanks that’s helpful.

    But right…?

Solar plants can be reduced to rationalize supply.

To my understanding. The bigger issue is you can’t as effectively do this with other non-renewables like coal/gas… so this not a solar problem but a problem of legacy power plants.

So stupid. The narrative as well.

  • oh no! think of the stock market!
  • As someone with a technical background this is the stupidest problem with solar that I don’t get… just turn off the panels in groups until generation is closer to demand… how have engineers not figured that out. And if they have why does this still get written about.

Someone is an idiot. Maybe it’s me?

  • Why don't humans have paw feet?

Humans are bi-pedal animals who walk extensively over long distances. However our feet are soft and not well suited to the task. However dogs, monkeys, and other animals have paws that serve as shoes to protect the feet.

No other mammal has such unprotected - but we are known for walking the farthest distances / nomadic behavior. Is this a joke?

I want paw feet instead of shoes.

‘The KHP waged war’: Federal judge orders end of Kansas trooper 'two-step' maneuver - Kansas Reflector

Kansas illegally searched out of state drivers. Pressing the question… why would you ever want to go to Kansas.

… quick article highlight, it turns out most drivers targeted were just passing through to visit states without a police force trained to violate the constitution

But the ACLU helped fight the case all the way to the US Federal District Court on behalf of many motorists who doubtlessly never wanted to go back to the state again, even if to protest their rights in court
