Thanks for the suggestion, I've tried it but it still won't play

I've had a look and while it does look like a powerful set of add ons, I'm not sure it's what I'm after - the patches are for YouTube, not NewPipe. So I'd have to watch the video through YT, which is what I'm trying to avoid

Since when has this been a thing? I'm glad I haven't experienced it, but I want to know why so it stays that way

It really depends on volume of deliveries, area, etc. but yes I've experienced the sorry we missed you cards many times knowing for a fact I was home all day and checking the mailbox. Nobody rings. I don't think they have the parcel. I bet they just say okay, we don't have time/we can't be bothered with these ones so let's just drop the card.

I used to be pretty neutral about ticks and leeches. Then I had the privilege of becoming their target and now both stir as much hate from me as fleas and roaches do.

Let me add. I've been attacked by a swarm of wasps and it didn't change my view of the species. No fear, no hate. So, I don't know.

Depending on the country it can make e a significant difference in finances, because taxes, inheritance laws, credit scores, etc.

Finances aside, yes, for some people the ceremony is a ritual that carries heavy meaning and the ring and a ceremony is a way to strengthen the relationship. Is a ritual that is culturally significant and very significant for some. Everyone is different so just because for you and me it is irrelevant that's not the case for thousands of others.

It's like swearing an oath of sorts. You may ask yourself, why do they waste time in court making people say they won't lie and why some need to do it with a bible? People still lie after all. Or what difference does it make when people hook pinkies over a promise? It's just a promise like any other and it can be broken. But people still do these things, and they get married too.

Okay beyond the taste in furniture upholstery and the fireplaces, this is a far cry from "terrible". Place looks nice enough to me.

As for the AI claims- i wouldn't be so sure, real estate photos are often heavily photoshopped, shot with wide lens and with more lights than necessary so I don't know. Looks legit to me

The userbase. I don't care much for anything else on your list, I think things as they are aren't perfect but I'm ok with it as is. Reddit is the same or worse. But the userbase is different. Less trolls, more tech savvy people, more FOSS. Overall better answers, except on certain niche areas.

Also it's less invasive visually and mentally. Reddit is riddled with ads and links to other posts very much like YouTube has suggested videos on the side. I don't need this information overload. Annoying. I used to be able to control it using Boost for reddit but hey, guess what.

And if I really need to go to Reddit, I do. Nothing stops me from lurking if I want. Occasionally I use it, I think over the last 2 years I've posted like five times on Reddit.

I like being able to choose what I want when I want it.

Thanks for the answers, I'll keep in mind. I'm both mildly annoyed about getting profiled and the YT ads, but then there's the inconvenience of having to watch this on my laptop and not my phone which is my preferred way to watch videos.

I used FreeTube for my PC but it stopped working a couple months ago and I've no idea why, though that's material for a different post.

On mobile, the performance difference between NewPipe and YT browser/app is staggering too, NewPipe being the better of the two. So there's a mix of reasons.

Then even more to my point. What difference would it make?

Okay I would ask questions for any amount of money unless they tell me first. The people I feel I would easily give money are also the same people who I'd expect they tell me first why- they wouldn't be "hey mothra got some spare 100s?"

To answer your question, I would easily give 10 to about a dozen people or so, 100 to half of them and 1k+ to only 3, and for a very good reason only. I didn't even realize the number of people would halve.
