Biden campaign tests Trump’s name-calling strategy with ‘Broke Don’
  • I know I'm in the minority on this but I've always felt like Trump truly won when we started adopting his shithead name-calling habits.

    1. Its doesn't accomplish anything and reduces every argument to finger pointing and smirking.

    2. He's so much better at it than anyone else cause his supporters don't care what he does and the rest of us aren't that beholden to a single politician to proselytize their every word

  • Jim Carrey Returning for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’
  • Movies are fine and I'll absolutely watch the third but more than anything I hope Jim Carrey has fun with this role. I feel like I have more fun watching Jim Carrey when he's having more fun. Pretty much the sole reason the sonic movies work is because he steals every scene

  • I've read some weird takes about 9/11 already.
  • Dude went on this long rant to me about the moon landing being fake and then goes "it's not like I think the earth is flat or anything."

Last I heard he now thinks we live under a dome or something so that didn't last long

  • Xbox One had similar problems. I remember people arguing about what was more powerful back in the day and iirc it was xbox one by a hair, but because of the extra functions they put in it xbox had walled off some of its power from devs using it

  • The xbox pic is the Xbox One announcement where they basically said you wouldn't be able to buy used games. On top of that they focused mostly on other media instead of games. Then sony came out on stage, undercut their price and talked only about games.

Not entirely sure about the top right but someone else said it was ps3 which was a famously bad start for Sony because of the price point and focus on other media over games (less so than xbox one but still). Then xbox 360 undercut their price and focused on games.

  • This simple trick disables ads in Gmail - but there's a catch
  • I'm pretty sure they're talking about the subtle ad disguised as an email in the promotions tab, its not even from someone I wouldn't expect to send me an email, that's why it's so sneaky. It's literally a promotion from a company whose emails I'm subscribed to.

  • Do you donate to Wikipedia? Why or why not?
  • When I was younger my friend group got in a heated debate about something semantic for fun. The opposite side from me tried to prove their point by editing Wikipedia and showing it to me. They had to show a screen shot because it had changed back in the time they ran from the computer lab to the lunch room, I used this in my arguments every time we argued about it after that.

  • Backwards compatibility is the best feature of Xbox, and I don't understand why Sony is so far behind on this
  • The simplest and most likely reason is just because they don't have to. Playstation is leading Xbox by a lot this generation (so far, things can change) and PlayStation just has no incentive to add value to something they're already selling record numbers of. Xbox is trying to attract customers, customer playstation has left on the cutting room floor, and backwards compatibility is a way to do that.
