This is a cover for Open your eyes by STRFKR that I produced in 2021. I think the vocals could use a lot more love. It would be interesting to see how much more I could improve it if I were to re produce this today.

I made this one when I just bought Nectar from izotope, so there are some strange/uncontrolled vocal effects going on

If you have Abletone live with Max for Live, you should check out the J74 Progressive.
Once you get the hang of the program, it is capable of producing extremely realistic chord progressions and arpeggios, delivered directly as MIDI clips in Ableton Live Session view.
He has a ton of other tools you can check out on his website.

I love how Ned tries to break Ableton every video he makes. Here is a video of him messing with MIDI effects to get some inspiration.
This is just silly. Totally ad-libed lyrics that don't make any sense. While my roommates were sleeping, I just looped sections and started improvising lyrics with my "just woke up" voice. I put in
Hello!
This is one of the first songs I have wrote lyrics for. I would play each section and then ad lib the lyrics. I think it sounds a bit cheesy-indie, but that is also what I was going for.
I guess my question is; is the lyrics too cheesy for this track to be taken seriously?
Also, what do you think about the little "Lorde" breakdown around 1:30? does that add to the track at all, or am I just making a fool out of myself?
My friend sent me a video of her singing Nicki, so I obviously had to remix her voice. This is what I've got so far.
My friend recorded herself singing Nicki Minaj at one of our New Years Party. I decided to remix it and see what I can come up with.
Because I am just starting out, the mix/mastering of this track is a bit of a disaster.
I guess I am just wondering how the arrangement of the track flows for someone that is hearing this for the first time.
Also, does it make you want to dance/party? or skip the song and get some actual Nicki to play?
