I've noticed that people on lemmy, just like reddit, are not very good at banter or irony, they get easily upset. the year isnt 2008, you can lighten up. not every joke originates from a meme font template meme or a viral dog video. whatever, i dont care. i can just make new accounts when i get banned.

they are known for being used for bomb threats or 4chan weirdos. but yeah i wouldn't use them for anything serious. you dont wanna have to say THAT email address over the phone to customer support of your bank or something lol.
