  • I resemble that remark

  • It is a really nice thing to get props from an ex. Sexually, or in other ways. When an ex gives you a glowing review, so to speak, it's both a relief and a recommendation. See, when you break up, but stay friends, you always wonder if maybe you fucked up. But if they are willing to say that you were great, it just wasn't a good match for specific reasons that aren't flaws, just differences in individual needs, it takes that away

  • Finally? It's been a thing for decades

  • Look, I don't know what to tell you. Posers are all over the place. They'll pretend to not like metal just so that they can turn their nose up at even more bands. It's ridiculous.

  • Mfw a dude in war looks flyer than I ever have in peace.

  • Obviously fake, no anon has a girl friend of any type.

  • Well, that is a common cover for hidden racism.

However, it can hold up. I've known too many black people laying claim to that flag as a part of southern black history. And I've known white folks that fully acknowledge the issues with it, but maintain that it's possible to reject the antebellum monstrosities and still find the good parts to hold onto.

The problem is that you can't tell what the person using it really thinks. Even if they're giving lip service to it as purely symbolic of the transformation is the south, who says they're telling the truth?

Me? I'll pass on it. It's a cool looking flag for sure, and I can let people have their attachment to it, but I can't separate the fact of the confederacy being what it was and why it was. It'll be a looooong time before anyone can claim that it has been reclaimed or transformed into symbol of anything other than being willing to fight and kill for the ability to own other humans.

But it is possible for individuals to genuinely connect it as a symbol of connection rather than division. Unlikely, but possible.

  • Well, the general advice is plenty of warming up, and practice.

Largely though, it kinda depends on the root cause. If it's from arthritis, there's limits to how much warming up is going to do.

If it's something that's purely muscular, or stems from something like fibromyalgia, you have a much better chance of eventually finding a way to enjoy longer sessions of triggering activity. In those cases, one of the usual muscle relaxers can help, but you'd need to loop your doctor in (though not necessarily in detail).

You can also save it for long, thin penises. Not exactly something you can rely on, but it would be more bearable, so you could go longer.

  • Critters can surprise us like that.

My cat, back when she was still around, was not fond of the first dog we had here. But when that dog died, she would wander around looking for her. They also pick up on grief as well.

Our second dog, when that cat died, spent days looking for her. Even though the cat pretty much owned the dog. It was over a year before that dog would not get excited and look around when we'd say the cat's name.

  • Every time I go to my kid's school, I am amazed at the difference between my day and now.

That time I went, there were kids just in pajamas and slippers. Not just one or two, dozens, and it wasn't some special day.

Then there's the dressier kids in lounge pants and whatever giant tshirt they pulled out of a drawer (or laundry basket) that were obviously their version of pajamas. Shit, one girl had very obviously rolled out of bed, thrown some leggings under her nightgown, slipped into crocs and jumped on the bus.

It's pretty cool tbh. Just no fucks given for meaningless frippery unless the individual kid/family wants it. Most of the kids were relaxed, nobody giving them shit for the way they're dressed, staff not even noticing at all. That's the way it should be imo. Whatever gets the kids in their seats and keeps everyone relatively engaged.

Yeah, there were still plenty of jeans and t-shirt sorts, a few of the button up shirt variants, and a handful of clothes hounds. But nobody was giving anyone shit about the clothes. From what my kid says, that wasn't just the case for the hour or so i was there that day.

We insist on clothes that are weather appropriate and acceptable for an emergency, but beyond that after seeing the norms there, we stopped giving a fuck.

  • It's the same picture

  • 🖤

I did not know there was a Joan Jett emoji

  • Interesting indeed!

Ngl though, I saw winter and july and my northern hemisphere brain almost noped out my ear and fucked off to canada to cool off.

  • Eh, there's no single term for that "in between" zone of the gender slider. Non binary tends to be the best blanket term, imo, but the reality is that it's the best we got.

Fwiw though, softness and tenderness are part of manhood too. Those aren't gendered traits, though it is true that there seems to be a proclivity towards them on the feminine end.

  • Well, it's s loooong road of escalatiion from invertebrates to humans, so by the time you work your way up, you'll be too old to be good at killing humans, so you'll get caught easy.

  • I'm going to be blunt, this reads like reddit rage bait. As such, I'll respond that way, then give a more neutral answer in case it's real.

The response to it as bait is that anyone saying that seriously is an idiot.

More neutral, anyone saying that has an obligation to explain themselves because it makes no sense by itself. And it doesn't.

  • I had the Dying Fetus song "wrong one to fuck with" pop in my head as soon as I saw the image.
