  • Interesting.

My spear wielding huntess using whirlwind and rapid stab mostly works quite well for me.

Well, the act2 boss took ages to kill, bit now I'm level 33, have my first lv2 support gem and things are going more smoothly already.

    What do you use?

  • Look at you all go.

I'd say look at your response and that from your fellow enthusiasts and you will know why adoption is not happening.

You people don't understand at all where people come from.

You want stuff to be done like you would do it and that's going to make sure you will stay a small group.

You people here answering so far have been like a case study as to why even those who are willing to try and attempt a transition don't end up doing it. Well done.

  • Of course, and you should ideally accept that usecase as a primary if you actually want people to migrate from windows to linux.

People will not transition cold into a system that has so little convenience and handholding compared to what they are used to. They also won't likely have two PCs to use one for what they know while the other for the new.

I mean this thread so far shows me again why mass adoption of linux is still so far. Those who understand it in most cases do not understand the side where people come from. Especially normal windows and apple users who are very used to their easy to setup everythings.

You also are too deep in to see how what is obvious to you is in fact not at all obvious. For many things of this nature

  • Reading opinions like yours and far more so when reading the unhinged stuff ranted on reddit and their forums I truly feel that people still have little understanding of what Early access actually means.

I think the current community meltdown shows GGG should have gone down the path of a large closed beta with only truly change interested poe2 players.

The huge amount of people complaining with statements such as "And THIS is what you abandoned poe1 for???!" and similar sentiments shows me quite clearly that many of the loudest are disgruntled poe1 players and those who want poe2 to be an slightly different poe1 instead of a different game.

    It's quite unfortunate.

  • And with "losing it" we mean behaving like teenage anger management nutjobs.

The stuff these people dare to write in the forums and reddit is plainly a disgrace. Not the what, the how.

Also I really think it's mostly the diehard poe1 playerrs using this as a false flag "community" attack to get either more attention to poe1 or to just turn poe2 into a mess like poe1 is that they got too used to to let go.

  • Agree.

My worry is that if ggg were to take the massive rants in reddit and their own forum as user feedback basis, poe2 would soon lose the freshness and turn into poe1 with extra steps.

As much as I value user feedback in general, I hope Jonathan will stick to his vision on this and rather cater poe1 and poe2 towards different target groups.

Right now it feels like poe1 players are venting their anger at not getting more poe1 content in a sort of brigarding manner.

What is your impression of the hunt so far?

  • This is incorrect.

Give AI a few more years and ots a great teacher for adults.

Baker and lawyer? Easy. As soon as AI get capable robot bodies they can do "homemade food" with robotic efficiency. And knowing legal texts and such stuff? They are machines. Indexing, cross referenceing, contextually identifying and comparing large data will be super easy to them once they get more memory and no l9nger hallucinate information.

    AI is in its infancy.

People who say AI won't get as good or better than us humans at basically anything will be in for a hard awakening in about 10 years.

The humans are basically comparing their industry best against an AI baby learning to walk when looking at potential of growth.
