we need someone with experience who can unite the democratic donors party.

Capitalism, famous for not crushing unrest or having an extensive state security apparatus.
That's how much capitalists value the promise of AI decimating labor costs.
But this was how I became the public-health official who, very early in the pandemic, instructed people not to wear a mask.
This was a supposed "white lie" to try to preserve ppe for medical professionals, which was stupid because a lot of nurses and doctors took it to mean they didn't need ppe, and as far as I know the government didn't even try to secure any ppe for medical professionals or make sure they were available.
We knew it was airborne by how quickly it was spreading. The WHO knew it was airborne and immediately started upgrading their offices to filter the air, even while they told the world it wasn't airborne. The reason they didn't say it was airborne was because it would mean hospitals would have to take more strict measures to protect everyone, and it would cost a lot and make the job harder.
It's insulting to be told that the evidence at the time showed that it wasn't warranted to take airborne measures.
Its pretty good. Totally worth $3. More enjoyable than the sequel.
If he has respiratory symptoms then he can probably infect other people... Right?
I prefer pilots who don't crash their planes

I thought it was implied the US sabotaged them
I trust this system to tell authorities who to arrest and which foreigners to murder.
Meanwhile they are finding that mice who drink raw milk from infected cows have their organs infected with bird flu, and people are now trying to get raw milk specifically to infect themselves with it.
I love the mall. The album before this is also really good.
Also this performance from the main singer's bedroom kicks ass.
They don't have advertisements for coke or pepsi anywhere.
We have to do it because China is CHEATING.
Make America Violently Shit Again
Oh, you think these are affordable? Have you forgotten the $10,000 "China Bad" fee?
I wonder why they don't treat swing voters with this much contempt?
SARS first emerged in 2002, and there have been bigger MERS outbreaks in the past, but MERS has been a potential risk for a new pandemic for a while. If it evolves to evade an immune response for as long as Covid did, we can potentially get a new pandemic. Our societies seem especially bad at understanding pre-symptomatic disease transmission, even after covid.
!kiryu-slam One of my favorite game series gets enshittified.
>It makes it all the more baffling, then, that Sega's upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is locking its New Game+ mode behind its Deluxe and Ultimate editions, which cost an extra $15 and $40 on top of the base game respectively. This is a series which, traditionally, has had its own features locked behind a NG+ run such as the legendary difficulty mode.
>Specifically, NG+ is being folded into the 'Master Vacation Bundle' which isn't included with the game's base version. According to the game's official website the bundle also includes a bonus dungeon, special sujimon (from a Pokémon-like mode), resort guests, outfits "and more."

Millennial women are seeing a reduction in the wage gap and better graduation rates, but a stark rise in premature, preventable deaths, the PRB said.
>US millennial women saw their well-being decline, a first in modern times, per non-profit PRB.
>Homicide, maternal mortality, and suicide rates have all increased for women aged 25 to 34.
>The sudden reversal in progress for young women's safety comes despite an improved economic status.
>Contributing factors to the overall rise included the COVID-19 pandemic, which increased domestic violence rates, and a recent leap in gun violence incidents, the report also said.
>Homicide is now also the leading cause of death for pregnant and postnatal women, more so than typical maternal mortality causes, the report noted.
The health department has set up multiple clinics to test children as quickly as possible.
The problem is immunity debt to tuberculosis from the lockdowns. Remember to get infected with TB yearly so that your immune system is "topped up" and knows how to fight it! You don't want a weakened immune system from needlessly protecting yourself, or babies, from incredibly dangerous pathogens.
>Health officials in Omaha, Nebraska, are wasting no time in testing over 500 infants, toddlers, and children who may have been exposed to an active tuberculosis case at a local daycare. The Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) declared a public health emergency Friday.
>In a press release, DCHD said the exposures occurred at a daycare at the Westview YMCA, which provides "drop-in" care, allowing members to drop off their kids as they use the facility. The exposures occurred between May 21, 2023, and October 30, 2023.
>In an interview with The Washington Post, Douglas County Health Director Lindsay Huse said officials should start getting testing results from the younger children midweek and should have a better picture of transmission and the full scope of testing needed by sometime next week. Huse estimated that there are about 250 children in the 4-and-under group and 300 in the 5-and-up group. Any children infected will further expand the number of people potentially exposed
Hint: only about 5% of children in that age group got the vaccine for it.
Researchers are speculating about possible reasons. One says it's unclear whether the increase was a one-year statistical blip or the beginning of a more lasting trend.
Another sign that things are going great!
>The national rate rose to 5.6 infant deaths per 1,000 live births in 2022, up from from 5.44 per 1,000 the year before, the new report said.
>The increase may seem small, but it's the first statistically significant jump in the rate since the increase between 2001 and 2002, said Danielle Ely, the CDC report's lead author. She also said researchers couldn't establish whether the 2022 rise was a one-year statistical blip - or the beginning of a more lasting trend.
>The CDC said preliminary data suggests the increase is continuing, with quarterly rates in the first quarter of 2023 higher than they were at the same time in 2022.
>Overall in the U.S., the death rate fell 5% in 2022 — a general decrease that's been attributed to the waning impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially on people 65 and older. U.S. maternal deaths also fell last year.
>More than 30 states saw at least slight rises in infant mortality rates in 2022, but four had statistically significant increases - Georgia, Iowa, Missouri and Texas.
>In numbers, U.S. infant deaths surpassed 20,500 in 2022 — 610 more than the year before nationwide. Georgia had 116 more infant deaths than the year before, and Texas had 251 more.
