Sure, but how many books can you kill at one time?
  • Corruption pure and simple

  • Microsoft has blocked the bypass that allowed you to create a local account during Windows 11 setup by typing in a blocked email address
  • Wow, exactly the feature I wanted. An account that Microsoft can link its spyware too. I'm sure that database won't be sold or stolen.

  • The number of deaths in ICE custody is already more than double all of last year
  • The general lack of empathy for these people is disgusting.

  • Linux May Be the Best Way to Avoid the AI Nightmare
  • I finally switched to Linux and I couldn't be happier. I can't believe I put up with microsofts garbage for so damn long.

  • Stealing everything you’ve ever typed or viewed on your own Windows PC is now possible with two lines of code — inside the Copilot+ Recall disaster.
  • We should have let the government actually break up microsofts monopoly long ago. Now they will abuse it to force millions of Americans to use their spyware.

  • Google's "Manifest V2" Chrome extension phaseout next month is expected to impact the original uBlock Origin extension, which still uses the V2 framework and has 37 million users
  • Google is such a greedy group of jackasses. Using their browser monopoly to shore up their ad monopoly should be a crime.

  • Suggestions for Linux Distribution
  • I'd suggest Fedora or Arch. Debian and Ubuntu are definitely solid options, but if you have experience with them and want something new, those first two distros are both fantastic and both stay up to date with fast release cycles. They might be a little less stable because of that, but that's kind of Debian and it's downstream options wheelhouse. So I'd use your preference on that to help guide your eventual preferred distro.

  • Proton Mail Discloses User Data Leading to Arrest in Spain
  • Doesn't look like Proton did anything wrong, they can't fight these requests and he was caught by identifying information he linked to his account.

  • Well that wasn't what I expected had happened to neofetch.
  • RIP neofetch, good luck to Dylan.

  • Republican governor candidate is making his entire campaign about hating trans kids
  • We really have gone full circle on the "protecting the children" lie. Entire political campaigns based on the hatred of children.

  • California could ban Clear, which lets travelers pay to skip TSA lines
  • Good, absolute insanity it was ever allowed in the first place. Hope more states follow the same path.

  • The US Now Has 1 Fast EV Charging Station for Every 15 Gas Stations
  • Well hot damn, making some progress on EV infrastructure.

  • Jails banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls as part of a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with prison phone companies
  • All these profit farming scams for prisons should be criminal conduct. It's sickening how little the public cares about systemic abuse of prisoners.

  • Biden vows to reopen Baltimore port, rebuild collapsed Key Bridge
  • This port and bridge are important national infrastructure. Do you realize how dumb and ignorant this comment is? The government immediately rebuilding the bridge is exactly what should be done.

  • Waffle House Is Taking Heat For An 'Especially Alarming' Paycheck Policy
  • Wage theft enforcement is so desperately needed in the US.

  • Reddit's new paid ads look exactly like user posts
  • Jesus reddit is run by such massive shitheads.
