What are some companies that deserve to be boycotted to death?
  • Except the carbon footprint of Starlink is estimated to be 30x greater than terrestrial alternatives.

More than half of all satellites in space are already Starlink at around 5,000, with 12,000 planned in the near future and up to 42,000 as a later expansion.

    It's just not sustainable.

Step by step guide if you're interested

I'm sure Reddit is seeing private key usage sky rocketing on their end since ReVanced released these patches. Whether or not Reddit chooses to do anything about it remains to be seen, but I can't help but wonder how long it will last.

Nowadays I still stick with Lemmy for general scrolling and only go to Reddit for my niche subreddits that don't have active equivalents here.

Where can I find recipes without the author's personal anecdotes?
  • I mean, it's not usual to find more modern books at a thrift store. Yeah a lot of them are old, but newer ones are there.

Even among the old ones there are some that are sought after, like Betty Crocker's Cooky Book. Best snickerdoodles of my life.

  • Most people that would go apple picking aren't getting that many, like half a basket, maybe 15-20 pounds at most. It takes like 10 minutes and you're paying by the pound for what you take home for half the price or less than you would at the store.

It can be a fun activity for kids, I don't see what you're upset about.

Right now I have SEVEN lemmy apps on my home screen as I figure out which I like best. So far I keep going back to Sync the most.

Boost's animations suck. It takes too long to show the post list after swiping away an image and the whole screen goes black, it's a bit jarring.

Liftoff works well but it's ugly.

Jerboa isn't very customizable and the post list doesn't feel dense enough.

Voyager literally does not tell you what instance the community you're viewing is on.

I haven't touched Thunder in a while but I see they've updated quite a bit with a lot more customization. I remember older versions being nice, so I'll give it a try again.

Connect is about the same as Liftoff, works well but kinda ugly. Admittedly not as ugly though.

  • Not enough people (including you) don't know that "Nazi" is an abbreviation for "national socialist".

This meme is about telling Nazis we're not interested in their BS.

  • I swear I didn’t change anything
  • The other day I launched an old game and got met with an error, something about directX9 and missing a redistributable file or something. Decided not to fuck with it.

Yesterday I launched it again to take a closer look at the error message to see if I could fix it. No error message, game booted without issues.

    My confusion.

  • Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple
  • Samsung and Google are just now getting around to supporting it

Hey now, I've been rocking RCS for three years. The only reason it took so long to begin with is because Google was trying to get service providers to implement it themselves. Google finally said fuck it and started doing it themselves iMessage style and then providers started playing along.

  • Alright Google, how is a radio input a good choice for a range of times
  • To be fair, this is for setting the duration of the snooze button for your alarms, not a timer. Most people would set it once and never touch it again. Anyone snoozing for more than 30 minutes is a psycho that hates sleeping anyway.
