Is there an official blocked communities list and defederated list for each instance? Also can you have the same username on a different instance? I fear we are going to lose people who don't really care that much about the federation stuff and just want to use Lemmy like reddit. Although I guess reddit is similar in that they decide what communities are allowed as well...
I'd rather have something posted than nothing so I appreciate the bot posts. Maybe it could be revisited if the community fills up more and the bot wasn't filling out the community as much but for now I like them.
With RIF down I've been trying to use Lemmy but I had to actually delete the app because 10 years of muscle memory kept trying to open RIF. Still having issues with Lemmy at this point so unsure if I'm gonna stay. Not very many other places to go now, though.
