What has she done to stop the genocide on Alderaan?
  • It doesn't really matter what you imagine. It's worked before and I bet it'll work again. And even if it doesn't and Israel is entirely independent from the US and totally needs nothing from us.... Why is that a reason to supply them. Great they don't need our shit let's stop giving it to em.

Hold less sway with an ally... What good is that sway of we can't stop a genocide with it? Or really slow it down even a pinch? I'd rather people doing genocide don't like us actually... They're evil.

  • I'm pretty confused. Can you read? Antioutsideaktion is saying the Dems are currently in power... I'm sure he knows Biden is president right now. That's why the question asked was how can you cast the Democrats as having no power? Because they have power now.

  • Bernie Sanders to voters skipping presidential election over Israel: ‘Trump is even worse’
  • I am a reliable d voter. I'm the block you claim they cater to. I've voted in literally every election able always for D. Ole reliable. Except a genocide is a step to far. They could win me back and many other reliable Dems if they did one crazy trick...

  • I am absolutely convinced genocide is bad you got me there. I actually can vote and did (mail your ballot folks) but you got me on the teen stuff. 19. Maybe I'll learn something in a few months when I'm 20.

  • Not my fault that you're explanations explain nothing. But we can agree that's it's largely pointless to argue.

It's not bad faith to not enjoy genocide. I would never argue that in bad faith because I actually believe genocide is bad.

I guess voting in an election is technically interfering in it but odd way to put that.

  • They do nothing to earn their support of votes. Nothing.

I've been seeing it lots lately that party's don't have to earn votes but I guess it's just Dems who are owed them?

Nothing but empty promises and demands that will be laughed out of offices.

Oh ya dude the Dems and Republicans loveee fulfilling campaign promises! That's why we have healthcare, loan forgiveness, legal weed, the abolition of the death penalty...

But it sure looks good to people ignorant enough to not bother to understand how politics work in the real world.

Ah that's what I was forgetting. In the real world only bad things can happen. It is foolish to believe anything good could occur. Ignorant me.

Change doesn’t happen just because you want it badly enough.

Than why vote for Kamala or Trump? We're told Harris wants to end the genocide despite all evidence and that we must vote for her... And yet it seems to be simply based on the power of belief that she will do good things. Kamala isn't going to stop the slaughter just because you want her to. Ditto for trump. His followers beliefs are all that keep him afloat despite him doing Jack shit.

  • De La Cruz and the PSL Actually does things outside of run for office. Organize various revolutionary groups, protest genocide, help marginalized communities.

Just because you ignore all political action besides voting every 4(or maybe 2) years doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

  • I admire your optimism that we can reach a solar punk society via voting. I'm not being glip I do admire it. Optimism is important and I have lost maybe too much of it.

The GOP will certainly try to genocide harder and they are absolutely repugnant. Anyone voting for them is absolute deranged.

  • Two-Party System
  • you've lost me sorry. I don't remember saying I was voting for the third party. You seem to have imagined that from the use of the word maybe. I definitely prefer a person who isn't supporting genocide to win but as I have myself admitted that is unlikely.

You are the one attacking me for not liking the Democrats for supporting a genocide. The original comment I replied to said:

I don’t hate Democrats, I just disagree with them.

    And I asked

Why don’t you hate the party currently aiding a genocide?

Which to me seems reasonable. Like I hate people supporting genocide. Sorry if that's weird or antisocial. I'll try and be more social and adore genociders... Is that what you're saying? I really can't imagine it's What your trying to say. But please correct my logic.

There was no mention of third parties or voting for or against them until you implied I was weird for disliking those who do genocide.

The main point is that you seem unable to condemn those currently doing evil things because someone else might also do evil things.

  • Two-Party System
  • So the Democrats have not been complicit in the genocide and supported it? Because if they have they definitely seem more like the person tying people to the tracks than a simple lever puller. The voter seems more like the lever puller. Pull for trump to maybe kill more pull for Harris to maybe kill less.

But this is why analogies fall apart. I'm a voter I can vote for Kamala(who loves genocide), Trump(who LOVES genocide), or a third party (who won't win but maybe doesn't love genocide). Harris is a politician who supports genocide as is Trump. No levers and no trolleys.

Individually as voters we can decide if we think it's worth it to vote for the person who loves or LOVES genocide but that's our choice. But I still hate the people doing it whether or not they LOVE or merely love it.

Liberal nonsense to decry hate as the true cause. Yes people hate being killed. It is right and just to despise those killing you and your family. Absolute nonsense to suggest if we merely loved our oppressors somehow things would improve.

  • Two-Party System
  • I didn't say I wouldn't pull the lever. I asked why you wouldn't hate the person who tied everyone to the tracks. Even if you pull the lever and kill fewer I would despise the person who set up the problem at all.
