Comedian Ron White used to tell a story about being arrested for public intoxication, saying "I had the right to remain silent, I just didn't have the ability."

This seems like the same thing playing out in real life. All Donald has to do is not talk when it isn't his turn, and his team is afraid that's beyond his ability.

(I told her I had the same experience, and I'll warn her about AI Robots at a different time- I didn't want to make her feel foolish.)

Barack Obama had a lot of great ideas, but I think people have forgotten how many times he gave up without a fight. His motto seemed to be, "We can't win, so why try." I really blame him for the demoralized Democratic base that stayed home and allowed Donald Trump's win.

Well, before doing something stupid my motto is, "Oh, what the hell."

Trump got a bug up his butt about mail-in ballots, so he put a postmaster general in place with a mission to destroy it. He pretty much has: the service is slower, more expensive, and less reliable than it used to be.

Biden was either unable or unwilling to remove him, but his term is about to end. Kamala will have an opportunity to put someone good in place who can rebuild what has been destroyed.

The reason I left Reddit was because the top comments-- no matter how serious the topic-- were dumb jokes and snide remarks. So in that context, no.

But I have a friend who sort of reminds me of Cliff Clavin from "Cheers," and he can be fun.

It doesn't bother me that it's made in China, it bothers me that it's shipping from China.

I'm careful to check now, but in the past I've accidentally ordered products through Amazon that were actually third-party China-based corporations. More often than not I didn't get the product and had to jump through hoops to get a refund.
