which lemmy apps let you hide read posts?
  • Voyager is actually really nice so far. I kinda wish it was more customizable like Boost, but cant win everything unfortunately.

The hide feature seems to actually work and it's stable, so i will keep an eye on Voyager.

  • which lemmy apps let you hide read posts?

I have tried both boost and connect, with both of these kind of working. Connect has been my favorite but it continues to be, glitchy unfortunately. Boost is great but it's hide red feature doesn't seem to work well.

Are there any other lemmy apps on Android with this feature, or anything similar to try out?

    Casually Explained: Photography
  • Disagree. I had a lot of fun with this one. Also some of my friends are really into photography so i got to see what they thought too. It's a lot of fun with how right he tends to be even when he's joking.

    Still hilarious.

  • ABC exiting Twitter: Australia’s national broadcaster shuts down almost all accounts on Elon Musk’s X.
  • There will only be four remaining official accounts for Australia’s public broadcaster: @abcnews, @abcsport, @abcchinese and the master @abcaustralia account. ABC Chinese reaches Chinese-speaking audiences on X.

Pretty sure this is just their biggest things left over, which doesn't seem to be doing much? It's odd.

  • Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation workers are organizing to form a union
  • This should have happened so long ago! Finally! Animators deserve so much more respect, and the way all these corporations have been treating animators is going to far. They treat them like secondhand entertainment.

  • The WHO is about to declare aspartame can cause cancer
  • There's a scale. I wouldn't put aspartame on the same level as smoking for it's chances of causing cancer. That's what i mean. I guess "fully Cancerous" isnt really a good way of putting it into words.

It doesn't outright cause cancer like the title implies. By saying it causes cancer in the title is misleading. There's very little evidence that supports that, and I see them only doing this considering the concerns around it and more research.

I'm absolutely for people knowing this information and making informed decisions if they want to stay away from it or keep using it. That's all on them.

Should've titled it something more like "WHO is about to rule aspartame as 'possibly cancerous.' Here's what that tells you"

  • The WHO is about to declare aspartame can cause cancer
  • Misleading title. They're about to declare it as possibly cancerous. Not fully cancerous. And if anything this is just to get even more research into it.

Aspartame is in a lot of things, mainly sodas and gum, but you'd have to consume a lot of the stuff beyond a human limit really.

I do think this may put a dent in sugar free products assuming it gets declared as such.

  • What would be the best VPN to use?

Hello, I'm new to all of this. What should one be looking for in a VPN? Is there a certain VPN more people recommend than others? I guess I'm just not really sure where to start here.
