Yeah they're getting a full time salary amount of work out of you for a contractors amount of work. Its just a matter of having a place to go to. In my experienve tech companies basically never give raises. The only way is to jump jobs. But your company is much bigger than any I've worked at.

I wouldn't take that as evidence of blacklisting. Places will absolutely overlook overqualified candidates. Most will assume you're faking your credentials. Others will assume you'll be difficult to work with. They want someone who is slightly under qualified and desperate and therefore both modable and malleable.

Bots on reddit are absolutely a thing. Ever since reddit's API went private it became exclusively a for-profit venture for manufacturing consent.

If you want to self-host then use vaultwarden instead of bitwarden. Paywalled features of bitwarden are still paywalled in the self hosted version (because its not a different version due to AGPL). Vaultwarden removes those paywalls and has a smaller footprint on your VM.
I'm sorry, but no. The US has lost planes before and even more helicopters in the post-USSR era. The F-18 loss can and already has been written off. The only time the loss of an aircraft has deterred the US was Mogadishu and there's a lot more on the line now.
If Ansarallah had gotten one of the (allegedly) stealth F-22 or F-35 that would be a massive embarrassment but even then I don't think the US would back down. Its likely that they are deliberately not flying any of those newer aircraft near Yemen for that reason.
On the otherhand, no one has attacked a US aircraft carrier since WWII (afaik) and the only post-USSR attack on a ship is the Cole which was in harbor. The US is extremely proud of their surface fleet especially their carriers. Proving that "5 acres of sovereign US soil" can be forced to retreat is a huge win.
It all depends on what the groups are. In my experience they're more likely to be pissed at you for not coming to them sooner than wanting to help them at all.

The solution to that is to have a committee of people call these people and schedule 1-on-1s. Follow the standard organizing conversation steps:
- figure out why they joined and get them to rant/vent with you. This is 80% them talking and 80% of the conversation.
- pivot the conversation to actually making a plan to fix the problem. Who is the enemy? How can we beat them.
- get them to commit to taking the first step to solving the problem: go to an actual meeting.
- make sure they understand this will take their time and effort.
- ALWAYS follow up with them later to ensure they don't forget.

Bruh I just told you how. Any sizable POC community will have some sort community organization. It could be a mutual aid network, tenant union, special interest group, etc. It could be a much larger than your chapter or just a couple old ladies working out of their kitchen. Find them, figure out what their doing, and help them.
