Greetings! Thank you very much for your comment!
Myself, the AnKorage, have used Linux for 28 years, albeit in a very limited fashion until 2014 when I first began using the Linux Desktop via Linux Mint. Ever since, I have not looked back. I have tried other distros, but always came back to Linux Mint. I have used Linux Mint Debian Edition, faithfully since version 4. Linux has served as my "Daily Driver" OS since 2014.
In the big picture, my "In-Depth" Linux knowledge is so very limited. Yet, here I am. I suppose how I would describe myself would be, "Average User +." Meaning, I'm very much an ordinary average-level user plus a tick or know just a hair more than the typical user. And, that 'hair more' isn't much beyond in general understanding; I may understand something, but may not have the immediate knowledge to take the next step should there be any.
In regards to Switched To Linux, I began watching its content for a few years and then met Tom 3 years, ago. Since just before, then, I became a supporter and began joining in on the Supporter Stream. I became a regular guest and continue to do so. Then, I earned Moderator status on the separate stream chats on YouTube, Odysee and Rumble. Over the past year or so, I began providing expanded convenience Social Media posts of Switched To Linux content. Finally, I became moderator of the Matrix chat. Today, I can only guess that I am considered a kind of 'staff member." I'm fully appreciative and do what I can to assist, namely in the Fediverse as there are freedoms, there, reach far further than environments that are proprietary and are like being inside a white picket fence.
Linux is a very good OS to use. It's secure, unobtrusive, no invasive telemetry, no data collection, no surveillance. It doesn't get in your way. It doesn't try to push anything. It's free of cost. It's Open Source. It's customizable. "It just works." It, very much "operates within the scope of the project," as it were.
